I went through a lot of different phases. First, I wanted to be a gymnast, but I was neither brave nor coordinated. Then, it was chef, author, lawyer, and finally a reporter/journalist. I majored in journalism and psychology in college, then ended up getting a master's in social work. The job I ended up getting? Secretary.

I'm not sure about when I was real young...I think I just wanted to go to the Olympics!
But, starting in HS I knew I wanted to do something with exercise. It changed from being a PE teacher/coach, to physical therapy, personal trainer, to research and being a professor. I got my degree in kinesiology/exercise physiology and use it to work for a medical device company. I got really lucky because people with my degree hardly make any money and have to work their butts off to be successful. I had a great paying job (2-3x normal for my degree) and now can use my education to do my own business sometime down the road when the kid(s) are older or I can consult for my current company and easily take their money.

Model, actress and forensic scientist.
I did get into modeling, briefly, but was still self-conscious about being "plus-size." Plus-size divisions were in their infancy, and there was still plenty harsh criticisms and judgments that I wasn't ready for.
Nowhere near close to that. I'm still in school, and the plan, once LO is in preschool, is to teach religion/comparative religion at the college level. And once my kids are much older I want to start a midwifery (CPM) apprenticeship.
An OB/GYN. Not kidding. I always wanted to deliver babies. I'm still trying to be an L&D nurse, and hope to be an NP in a women's clinic eventually, but yea, I will like I'm pretty close to my goal.

I wanted to be a nurse, but quickly realized that I gag when other people are vomiting and I don't like blood. For a while I wanted to become a therapist, but in reality I'm a office admin/receptionist. That's sometimes like being a therapist right, lol
I wanted to be an English lit teacher. I had visions of amazing classroom discussions of my favorite books! My undergrad is in English literature and my masters degree is in secondary English. I did briefly teach high school British literature. It was amazing and I miss it! I teach English as a second language now and am getting another masters in reading.

I still don't know what I want to do with my life, haha. Seriously though, as a kid I always wanted to be a vet or teacher. I am not doing anything related to those fields.. I work in operations at a bank.
At 3 years old, I decided I was going to be a paleobotonist. My mom still tells the story about how every time someone asked me I would go into this whole explanation of what a paleobotonist does and why I wanted to be one.

When did you change your mind?
I can't remember exactly, but I know that one stuck around for a few years, at least.
I never really wanted to be anything specific actually. Mostly I just always wanted to be married lol All growing up I would play dolls and barbies and have fake weddings with them.
Now... I want to be way, way to many things haha. I wish I knew right out of high school, but I didn't. Mostly I want to be a SAHM. I'll be excited when we start that next chapter
