I see / hear it on youtube a lot and in real life - how to style your hair after working out.
Am I the only one who sweats like a pig and has drenched hair after working out? I resemble an overweight drowned rat and these women are all "put in dry shampoo, good as new!" And then my hair laughs at me.
Is there some unknown benefit to not washing it? Am I just extra sweaty?
I just wrap it all up on a bun on top of my head. During and again after my workout. I haven't really found a great solution and I don't care that much, to be honest.

If I need to be presentable after I work out, I wash and dry my hair. My hair is short and fine and generally is ruined after a nap, so there is no other way to salvage it after a workout.
This is awful, but one of my biggest hang ups about working out is my hair. I sweat like a pig too and it's the worst in my hair. I hate washing my hair too much, I like to go at least two days. So I justify not working out because I don't want to wash my hair. This should probably be a confession.
I workout every two days so that my hair lasts for 2 days at least. Then I can get it sweaty and wash it in one go!
I workout after work, then I go home. I throw it in a ponytail and then wash it the next morning. But my hair is never drenched and it dries before I go to bed.
When I do lunchtime workouts I blow dry and usually put it in a ponytail or up somehow. It will already have the crease from the ponytail holder so looks weird if I leave it down.
I mainly only exercise during lunch while at work. I run the bridges or do pilates. When I run I get sooooo sweaty. I pull my hair up on top of my head and kind if wrap it loosley and use a scrunchie instead of a hair tie. This prevents kinks in my hair when I take it down. Once I cool off a bit after my run, I let my hair down, spray the roots with dry shampoo and sit in front of a fan at my desk.
When I do pilates I just leave it down.
Walla.
I wash my hair every other day and I don't use conditioner - this helps it to not be weighed down.
Yeah, my hair is such that if I have to look nice/ go back to work or... whatever.. after working out, then I need to find another time to workout. Reason #345 why I hate my hair.

This is what I do. Let it hang out in the bun on top of your head while your hair dries, and then you've got loose waves! Lol. But seriously, I wash my hair 3 times a week (I try for 2 in the winter) and I work out intensely about 6 days out of the week. You don't need to wash your hair after every workout.

What helps me is using dry shampoo before the work out. Spray it liberally and rub it in really well. That helps absorb most of the sweat and once my hair is dry it looks good again. I make a really high ponytail too to keep the hair away from my sweaty skin:)

I am the exact same way. I feel like I have to chose between having nice hair or working out. It takes me so long to style that only having it for just one day is not worth it to me. And most days, who am I really kidding, I don't do either because I am too lazy.
But I'm going to try the not washing after a workout and see what happens. Are you sure it doesn't smell??
It depends on the work out. Luckily I don't sweat much when I ride my bike, so I can get away with just a ponytail braid. But if I'm doing intense cardio (or even just a lot of walking in the heat) it's like I've just climbed out of a pool. In those cases I have to either wash it, or at the very least get it wet and kind of scrub my scalp.
I used a BondiBand for the first time doing Zumba yesterday, and that helped wick up a lot of my hair sweat, but I still needed to wash it to be presentable.
I shower at night before bed, then shower my body at the gym. (There are like 10 shower heads in the personal gym showers!)
At the gym I wash my body, very lightly wash my face, and in the process, my hairline also gets rinsed. I keep my hair pulled up on top of my head during the gym shower, because it doesn't need a true shampooing. The only place I feel even a bit sweaty near my head is the back of my neck and at my hairline. When I get out, I blow dry what's wet.
