Okay ladies, my husband is returning from his deployment soon and I want to stock up his closet with some stylish new clothes and shoes.
Does anyone have any stylish, everyday shoes for men? That aren't too preppy or hipster? Something in between? And under a $100.
And what do guys wear when they go out? For drinks and stuff? It's been practically a year since my husband and I have gone out together so I don't know what the guys are wearing these days.
Mr. B's Blake from Aldo (his are cognac but they have a couple colors on sale)
He has a couple pair of Red Wings, some Irish Setters
He also has some Clarks loafer type shoes.
Then there is the large collection of New Balance and old skate shoes.
Clothes, he is simple. Plain shorts (I usually go to American Eagle or J.Crew Factory), dark jeans (he is liking Levi's these days), plain tees from BR, button downs (he likes J.Crew since they sell a slim cut that fits perfectly).

He was looking a Red Wings Heritage collection and they were ridiculously expensive. I found these and he loves them. He likes that he can dress them up or down.

Just wanted to say YAY for him coming home. I'm sure your DS can't wait either. I'm not much help on the shoes. DH pretty much lives in flip flops if he's not at work. But he usually dresses in button ups and cargo shorts so he doesn't look like a complete slob. Ha.
For clothes, he usually wears polo's or t-shirts (for work he wears nice button-down collared shirts), and when it's cold, he's always in a fleece 1/4 zip shirt.

DH loves his Cole Haan driving mocs. They were under $100 at the outlet. They are really soft and flexible. He has black for work and brown for play. He claims these are the shoes that changed his life and he's not into clothes at all. He likes dark jeans and polos or solid button downs to go out.

My H likes Converse Chuck Taylors and Adidas Sambas for casual, for dressier he likes Clarks and sometimes Borns. I know Clarks and Borns sound like old man shoes but they have some less geriatric styles and he says they're very comfortable.

H wears what he refers to as "bro clothes." Dark rinse jeans, maybe some subtle whiskering, and long sleeved pearl-snap shirts in a plaid, stripe, or wallpaper floral pattern w/ the sleeves rolled up and a dark tee underneath (which I buy all of these for him b/c he is hopeless at shopping). He wears these with the Chucks. He likes tees that look kind of worn already, I think his favorite is a black Lone Star Beer tee shirt he found at Academy. He refuses to wear anything with sparkles or any Affliction or Obey stuff that seems pretty popular here - apparently those are "jabroni clothes."
I don't know if this is too hipster, but I am dying to get my husband a good chukka or desert boot. I was actually going to go out on my lunch break to try to find a pair!
