What are the houses made of? If it's something like plastic or something else easy to wash, I would just scrub it down and then spray it with enzyme and wipe it down. The enzyme will remove any remnants of old pee/pee smell so kitty won't feel the need to mark it.
Plastic is the easiest to clean - so that's good. I volunteer in a sanctuary that has 33 cats in one facility (mostly free roaming) and the enzyme is a life saver. I know the one we use has a lavender scent, which is nice, but I don't remember the name of it.
I'll look and see what I can find. I think they were used for mostly outside cats, so I want to make sure there isn't anything there to get the kitty sick!

Bleach or rubbing alcohol. But with all the infectious kitty diseases running around I would just toss those fuckers and build some easy little wooden thing to house litter.
I don't think you should use bleach and ammonia (cat pee) together, it makes a toxic gas. I guess unless you water down the bleach a lot. But after my kitten got a mysterious lung illness and had to be put to sleep I don't use bleach around my cats anymore. I would get nature's miracle or whatever it's called.
