DD was twirling around in Costco and fell face first onto the concrete. Her teeth were bleeding a lot but I got her some water and soft serve ice cream from the food court and she calmed down.
It has been an hour or an hour and a half now and she was eating a Ritz cracker with the side of her mouth. She bit down in the front once and started saying her teeth hurt. She's been complaining about her teeth hurting but I'm not 100% sure she knows the difference between "teeth" and "lip" because she does have a fat lip.
I'm not sure what to do. Her teeth were a bloody mess when it happened. She's never been to the dentist and it is after 5 on a Saturday, the only place open would be one of those emergency 24 hour places. Should I just wait and see until Monday? I'm worried she may have knocked them loose or damaged them or something.
I would definitely have them checked as soon as you can. But if she is not an existing patient you may have trouble finding an emergency dentist who will see her. Can you call your dentist? They might see her or refer you, mine would do that if needed.
We have an emergency dental clinic through our nearest ER. Do you have any such option? (Also, we've been through similar with DS. The emergency pediatric dentist said if they knock a baby tooth loose, there's nothing they can do for it; they're much more concerned if there was damage to the underlying adult teeth, gums, and jaw bone.)
DD1 fell at the pool when she was almost 2; hit the concrete. Lots of blood & she ended up bruising her tooth. It turned gray then lightened up again. It still hasn't fallen out and she's almost 7. It's slightly discolored, but barely. If it had been an adult tooth, I guess it would have been a bigger deal.

Lol, she was on soft food for a few days but nbd. Back to normal now. Although this reminds me I need to find a pediatric dentist since she is almost 3 and needs her first appt.

What happened to MrsMuq? Her post above looks weird. Does that mean she deactivated?
