C fell on the cement, got a fat lip and chipped her front tooth. This is the best pic I could get. I need to call a dentist right? What will they do?
UPDATE:I had to work so husband took her in this morning. He reported that the tooth was dead and they had to pull it.
He did rave about the pediatric dental practice though so I'm happy we found a good place. Also, C apparently was happy as a clam during the entire procedure because they gave her about 1 billion Sofia the First stickers.

Yes, get in to the dentist as soon as possible. They will likely put a filling in.
DD1 just chipped her tooth and exposed the nerve. They were able to seal it off to help with the pain. Its a permanent tooth so they will put in a filling for now. She will likely need a crown once she's older.
Definitely see your dentist. She will check to see if there is damage you can't see and if not, will smooth it off and/or put a composite (tooth colored) filling in to make sure it doesn't irritate C's tongue.
Meanwhile, do cold on her lip and have her ear softer, cooler things.
The dentist left DS1's chip alone. They checked to make sure the nerve wasn't exposed. Told us to watch for infection in the gums, etc.
Almost a whole year after the chip incident his gums were swollen and discolored above the tooth. So he had to go back and get the whole tooth pulled.
This is also a good thing to note. Trauma can damage the nerve inside the tooth and it can be hard to know if it will recover or how it will take to die. A front tooth can be better treated with extraction rather than a root canal as they are lost earlier than back teeth and a root canal can be tough for little ones. So, it's good that your dentist has a record of he trauma. She may take additional X-rays, etc. at routine visits.
Mine chipped her tooth when she was just over 2. She saw a dentist and he found there to be no root or nerve damage. Told us to watch for swelling. She has had normal appointments every 6 months since and the tooth still looks good. We are hoping it stays good until it is ready to fall out naturally. She is 4 and a half now.

Aww, sorry she had to loose the tooth. It does kinda throw you off for a bit. But now I can't even imagine DS1 with all his teeth. I think his gaped tooth smile is pretty cute.
Aw, I'm sorry she had to lose the tooth but at least she did okay. My son who is 3 now, chipped his tooth last 4th of July. It's the inside two corners of his top front teeth. The dentist just decided to leave the teeth the way they were and to look out for any discoloration.
That sucks. I'm glad she doesn't seem too traumatized. My daughter is missing one of her back teeth and doesn't even mention it anymore. Her new normal.
She also loves her pediatric dentist. We randomly ended up sitting next to him at her dance recital last week and it was like a celebrity sighting. It was hilarious.
Aww bummer, but I'm glad you found a good place! My brother lost both of his front teeth at 2 and just didn't have any until his adult teeth grew in at 5. I don't think he was traumatized by it
Aw, poor C! I messed up all of my 4 front top teeth when I was 2. THey didn't pull them then, but they had to eventually, so at least you got it out of the way? I'm glad she did so well with it!
