I read this earlier and was fucking infuriated. I do not understand why they would suspend her?? The messages those men were sending her were completely vile.
I think it was a TAL episode (maybe radio lab - I don't remember) where they talked to a guy whose job it was to respond to reported posts. And it's the decision of one person with almost no accountability. But he said that usually shit like this doesn't get reversed until the public rages.
I am not defending FB, but hopefully his will garner some attention and they'll reverse it and apologize. But the FB reporting system needs work.
There's a Facebook page dedicated to bashing people and then comments open up so others can join in. They've attacked my friend repeatedly over several months. I've reported the page and the posts individually and they say none of them violate rules of "the community". I don't have much faith in the people who screen that stuff.
