We got back from Las Vegas Thursday, then Friday I left with my parents to go see my aunt. They moved her into Palliative Care this past week.
We came home Saturday and MH had bought me flowers and made dinner for my birthday. We just walked Suits and hung out.
Yesterday, I felt like shit all day, so I just went to Costco then out to my parents for Father's Day dinner. I am recovering the cushions of my patio furniture, so mom helped me cut out my material for that.
I do not want to go to work this morning! I want another week off damnit!
Friday - worked our tails off in the office all day, then I had an appointment with a plastic surgeon. I got some fillers and botox. Judge away, whatevs. We went to dinner at the country club with our bff's after that.
Saturday - got up super early and taught 2 classes. Met my dad, his gf, my sister, and her bf for lunch for an early Father's Day at my dad's favorite golf course. He was really happy to see all of us and our relationship is pretty good lately. Jer and I had dinner at a really great restaurant that just opened up their new patio.
Sunday - taught another class in the am, then went to brunch with Jer and my SD at this great beer hall place. We ran errands after that and I was asleep on the couch by 9pm.
Food: we had zeppole's with salted caramel dipping sauce on Saturday night.
I got a wicked sunburn, was propositioned, hit on on a city bus, almost got into a fight at the top of th Eiffel Tower (the little on in Las Vegas), and walked into a wedding reception with my dress tucked in my under pants because I was toasted. Overall a very good weekend. At the airports now on the way back to reality.
I had a great weekend! The Yankees game was great on Friday - saw ARod get his 3,000th hit and the suite had food and an open bar. Saturday I kicked T out at 7am and got on the road to CT. Dropped my car off for service, went for pedicures with my sister and dad (he comes with us maybe once a year, lol), and then sis and I hit up a winery that's 20 minutes away. After that we came home and I made lobster rolls and homemade french fries for dinner and my brother came over. Sunday we all went out to breakfast for father's day while the weather was shitty and then it cleared up enough for my sister and I to drink some beers and play cornhole. I stayed there and got up at 4am to drive back, and made it here in 2 hours AND got a spot right out in front of my building!!
I left the gift for my parents on the table before I left this morning, and they reluctantly accepted after telling me that it was too much and I should keep my money. My dad said, what the hell were you thinking leaving that here for us?! I said, It was the only way I could guarantee you wouldn't hand it back to me! hahaha They are excited to go to Hawaii and I'm so happy they're excited.

Friday H was being pissy and I didn't want to deal with it, so I got a head start on cleaning.
Saturday we went and checked out the damage from the flood in Wimberley. It was devastating. So many amazing trees are gone and so many people are without homes. We put a few dollars into the town's economy by having lunch and doing a little shopping. Then we went to see our new niece, and as expected, she looked like a baby. I held her for a good while until she started crying.
Sunday was cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping.
I took of Monday for a me day. I didn't really have anything I wanted to accomplish, but I wasn't a complete bum.
Food: the ba-chic-ado at the restaurant in Wimberley. The atmosphere didn't hurt either.

My weekend was glorious! Got to NH at about 8:30. Mixed up a cocktail, ate an edible and enjoyed some peace and quiet. I did a yoga session, read my book and colored in a coloring book I bought for this trip.
Saturday I vacuumed up thousands of dead ants in the basement (We had an exterminator come and that was the result), cleaned the house, did some landscaping (ant-prevention, we are calling it) and then spend about 3 hours in the kayak with some beers and smoky treats. I paddled out to a super secret location on the lake that I named "The Rock Garden." Shallow water, surrounded by rocks, so no one can see in the cove, then boulders in the water to navigate around, super calm water, turtles sunning themselves, waterlillies blooming, bull frogs croaking, it is simply amazing.
Saturday night I showered, binge watched 4 hours of Peaky Blinders, did some more coloring and reading.
Sunday I was up and out. hit the grocery store and then vegged with Netflix Peaky Blinders.
This is what my diet consisted of all weekend: Mac and Cheese, french bread pizza, M&Ms, twizzlers, cheese-its, pistachio nuts, and crackers with swiss cheese.
The only bad time was the traffic Friday was INSANE!!!!

I think you read that in your book. That place can't exist in real life! It sounds too heavenly!
