DS woke up early after peeing through his overnight diaper. DH thought I was crazy to ask the server last night at the restaurant to only fill his water cup half full. This is why. Apparently half full was too much though.
He got himself dressed while I changed his bed sheets-the shorts I laid out for him last night were 18m and he turns 3.5 today. Needless to say now that he's not in diapers we're getting a LOT of wear out of some of these shorts!
Ugh, so gross. It's been raining a ton lately, so we haven't played in the backyard for a few days. We just tried to go out back to play in the sandbox, apparently we'd left the top off through all this rain. The sand grew algae on it! And there are bugs in it! So nasty. DH drained out the water and tried to convince me it was okay for DS to play in, and I was like HELL NO. I told DH he needs to empty it out, wash it, and put fresh sand in. Yuck!

DS2 woke at 5:55 am which is highly unusual for him. We say DH briefly before he left for work as he was leaving late. It was nice to see him in the morning.
We've been so busy with company and activities that my to do list is growing and we have company next weekend and the following for the 4th. Today we are doing errands, emails, and chores. Right now, I've folded two loads of laundry and the last is in the washer.
Fun times for the Tea boys today. Right now, we are watching the Thomas movie King. It's actually one of my preferred Thomas movies.

Ew. Though I am jealous of your rain. We're basically back in a drought. We had a quick storm Saturday afternoon that snapped a tree in the yard behind us and it came crashing down on our playset and fence. Most importantly it's laying on 3 of our 4 blueberry bushes-where we were about to get blueberries. Poor DS is so disappointed. He doesn't care about not being able to swing, but little dude sure does love his blueberries.
Ugh arch01 that sucks! I'm sorry. DS looooves picking blueberries off our bushes, he would be CRUSHED if something happened to them. He's already super sad that deer keep eating our stuff. They've eaten a pear tree and apple tree already We're going to have to buy new trees in the fall and put cages around them.
ETA: the rain is a blessing and a curse. We're at that part of VA summer where there's a thunderstorm almost every night, or at least the threat of one. It makes it hard to make evening plans. And we lost power from a storm on Saturday night, that was not fun.

This is our first year getting berries too since we had to pull them off last year to encourage root development. DH is all "at least the tree didn't fall on the house!" and DS and I are all upset about the blueberries LOL
I did cut some branches to get 2 of the bushes unburied but we lost a good bit of those bushes. I don't have much hope for the bush that's buried way under the tree.
Today I have to parent more than I would like and we currently have no plans. DH won't be home til 5:15 and then he has to leave for a church event at 6:30 again. That means I have to feed and bathe E without him and that is usually Ps witching hour. And MIL can't come help. I honestly don't know how so many of you ladies do it with husbands who travel a lot.
And we currently have no plans for today. I want to go to the mall but I can't find a timing that works with naps AND avoiding traffic. So I think it will just be walks today.

[/quote You'll do great. I remember my first time doing dinner/bath/bed solo with both boys, I was so nervous and scared.
It's okay with change E's routine and find a new one. I'm still not crazy about solo evening activities, but we have a great routine for just me and the boys, which I do two to three nights a week.
I just realized that DC didn't do anything for Father's Day but did something for Mother's Day. I'm WTFing this a bit. I know it's not a big deal, but DH deserves some attention too

L has been waking up for the day at 4:00 for what seems like forever. My H is off today so I was supposed to get a sleep in day. Well, L didn't like that so my "sleep in" consisted of laying in bed, listening to L cry, run to my bedroom door, bang on it yelling, "mum, mum, mum" over and over, H moving him away, rinse, and repeat. H brought him into our room at 5:00 and he nursed off and on until 6:00 and then I just got up with him. Somehow my H is still sleeping. It was not restful to say the least. Why does my kid require such little sleep? Nine hours last night and 2 total nap hours yesterday.
Our rental that is on the market has a conditional offer and had a home inspection last week so it looks like we'll be moving again sooner rather than later. We're going to see a mortgage broker today. This is our first time buying so it is both exciting and a bit nerve wracking.

DD didn't bring anything home for DH last week either. I'm hoping it's because she didn't go on Friday so they just forgot to send it home Thursday night. We made a craft at home so at least we had that. I still have to do the DAD pictures but I wanted to wait until DD2 was born so I told DH he would get them late.

Ds is staying with my mom today and tomorrow as his sitter is on vacation. I dropped him off last night and my mom texted me this he was up at 4am today! He is never up that early. He has also locked them out of one of their bathrooms.

Yeah we did a craft at the playgroup we're involved in but there was no mention of anything when I picked DS up Thursday so I don't think they did anything
Today's my first day solo with both kids. DH is back to work today. I hope he can come home a little early. DD2 is starting to stir now and then I'll officially be parenting two kids all day. Alone. I have a feeling DD1 will get a lot of screen time today. I wish I was allowed to drive so we could at least go somewhere to break up the day. Tomorrow through Thursday DD1 will be in daycare so at least I have that. The good news is I've already had my tea and a bagel. Going to take out something from the freezer for dinner before I forget.

Can you try and bathe E earlier in the day? Maybe while the baby is sleeping? Then just feed her something not as messy for dinner. Or, bring a vibrating chair or RNP into the bathroom or in the hall right outside to help amuse the baby? Baths are pretty quick around here and every other day unless they're covered in sunscreen or really dirty lol.
If you aren't going anywhere anyway, I'd look for the first opportunity today, even if it's this morning, and just get it done so you're not stressing about it. Hugs, the juggling is stressful but I promise you'll get the hang of it!

Moms of 2+ kids, tips/tricks are appreciated!
You've got this! Don't worry about the screen time, you're in the middle of a transition, do what ever you have to
We have a hectic morning- gym, target, michael's, Aldi, Safeway. Hopefully home before lunch so L can get a normal nap. I want to finish mowing the back yard because H didn't get to yesterday and he will be gone tonight. It will take at least an hour.. Blah.

OMG the illnesses. In the past week we have had a stomach bug, roseola, an upper respiratory infection, DS1 has a fever today, and this morning there was a note in DS2's classroom that someone has scabies. Are you kidding me with all this?!
The baby is in the middle of another asthma thing. He started wheezing yesterday so we're giving him a breathing treatment every few hours. DH got him up for the day and gave him his milk before treating him, so yeah, he had a coughing/retracting fit and I had an entire sippy cup of milk thrown up all over the kitchen. Poor buddy. He seems okay now that he's had a treatment. I wish we knew what's triggering him. I think we'll hang out in their conditioning today. I have a feeling it's something outside doing it. Grass pollen is super high right now.
Also, DD's speech appointment was canceled for this morning but they called at 10:00 last night to let me know. I was asleep and for some reason actually answered the phone in a complete daze. Wtf, speech therapy office lol.
I have to call about the OPM data breach this morning. The website says my pin is already used and I can't login. When I tried to call Friday it was a 90min wait.
DH is all gung ho on this building/moving stuff. I'm sitting here completely worried it won't work out and we'll have no where to live.
Is 4th of July really the weekend after next? I hate how fast time is flying by. It's scary!
Our first Father's Day was a success. We participated in a 5k that morning, and then had brunch down town, complete with beermosas. J & Baby J wore matching outfits. It was pretty cute.
I was tempted this morning, while stuck in horrific traffic in a thunderstorm, to use the carpool lane and count my unborn child as my passenger. I didn't, but I considered it. Then I remembered that H got pulled over once while driving in the carpool lane with C and the cop tried to tell him that technically it wasn't allowed. He told the cop that lots of people argue that babies are considered people at conception in order to ban abortions, but he can't consider his actual 1-year-old a passenger? The cop let him go on his merry way. lol
I am off today because our nanny is on vacation and our backup babysitter couldn't watch him today. She is also pregnant so I don't know what we will do next year for back up care. We have been so lucky.
Stayed last night at the beach so heading back now. Was so nice to have a full Sunday down there. Will head to target although I am a little afraid given the last time I was there with M he threw an epic fit and I had to carry him out kicking and screaming. Then after nap will hit up the pool for a play date with a friend.
Only bummer is I have to work during nap since the board decided they wanted to meet about something tomorrow on Friday so now I have to prepare. Gone are my dreams of just reading while he napped.
DS had a little tickle type cough last night and would cough every 10 minutes. Sometimes it would completely wake him up and he needed DH or me. And sometimes DS would sleep through it and I'd be up listening for him, thinking he'd need me in 5 minutes.
Another stark white FRER this morning. I think it's time to back away from the pee stick unless the Red Sox don't arrive this week. I did nab the coupon off one of the boxes though... Yay for drinking over the 4th of July!
