Just under 2 weeks, so I know it's still early - I think I bled red or brown for 4 weeks last time. The internet tells me that the bleeding should only be decreasing, so the fact that it seemed to decrease and then increase makes me think that either I need to rest more because I've been overdoing it or that there's something else wrong.
The internet is wrong. At 2 weeks pp, anytime you do anything more physical, you will bleed more. Not a sign that anything's wrong, and a long walk probably isn't really overdoing it, your body will just react to any uptick in mobility/effort. Annoying, but just keep it in mind when you go out and about and make sure your are prepared. Mine was up and down like that for about 4 weeks when it started to taper off for good even when I did more physical stuff.
I know, I hate how the internet is wrong about things! And I know that I should be thankful that I'm feeling as good as I am - and I am - but it's also frustrating to have most of me feel great but then have some cramping and bleeding that is basically beyond my control.
I'm so bummed that maternity leave is almost over and I go back to work next week. I really want to stay home for a year but it just doesn't make sense financially. I love my mom but she just doesn't understand. She just asked if I changed my mind and I'm going to stay home with dd. I told her I don't have a choice and I have to go back. It's like she can't comprehend why I would work now that I have dd.
I feel like as a WM my summers are so boring. I'm so jealous of those that get to go to the pool, playgrounds, vacay all summer.
This is the one (and really only) thing that makes me so sad to be a working mom. Obviously, we try to make up for it on the weekends, but something about working all summer & DD being in daycare all summer just sucks and does not line up with my envisioned ideal (ha).
If it makes you feel any better, my 3yo refuses to go anywhere near a body of water and my 6yo is spending his days at the dining room table, writing a book about imaginary prehistoric mammals.

H is WFH today and he needs human interaction. He keeps calling me and I'm on the quiet car on the train so I basically listen and go "uh huh" every so often, LOL.

It's 1:46 and I'm drinking a glass of wine because I'm totally untethered from any sense of time and why not. I want to go for a walk but it's raining, so we're watching a movie instead.

I think it's a no nap day. I guess we are going to dunkin donuts for a decaf iced coffee and maybe dq so I can get this Jurassic blizzard you guys keep raving about
Oh crap - I thought it was 18! Oh well, he is 17 months so I'll just make the 18 month appointment a little early.
My pedi sees kids at 15m if he's concerned or the parents request it, for most kids he's good going from 12m to 18m without a well child visit. I know that's not normal.
Our neighbor is having her house power washed today and the guy doing it asked if he could use our water because the hose won't reach from the back of her house to the front. (It's a townhouse and she's one house in while we're on the end.) He said he'd wash our porch and deck for free for letting him use our water. Score! It's been on H's to do list, but he hasn't had the time to do it. The cat is not pleased with all the noise though.
Today DS2's teacher decided to start him on underwear even though he has shown ZERO interest in PTing. I mean, she alleges he has there but whatever. Any stabs at how many dirty underwear I will be sent home with today?
Isn't he like only 26 months? Let me know how it goes. Sounds gross!
farmvillelover Pampers, but I think bad thoughts about Target the whole time I'm waiting in line to pay lol. I've been trying to only buy when they have the buy 2 get a $10 gift card promo and combine with a manufacturers coupon. Amazon has decent prices too if you have a prime subscription and add Amazon Mom (it's free with prime).
