-Hopefully my mom coming home soon but we really don't know how long she will be in the hospital at this rate. Long story short...she was discharged by the doctor on Sat, pushed to stay, and now has fluid in her lungs (the TIPS dumped it there). Until she's home I will enjoy visiting her at the hospital every day.
-Seeing my dad and step mom on Thurs.
-Hopefully having fun with DH and C next weekend to celebrate my birthday (next Monday)...DH has a 3-day weekend!
-Going for our morning walks! A fire is in the national forest in nearby mountains, which caused a ton of smoke-filled air the past two days. I didn't want to take C out in that so we didn't walk at all this weekend.
Hope your mom recovers quickly and is released soon luv2rn4fun!
I just want this week to be over! It's my last full week of work for a few weeks. On the plus side, my travel schedule this week is not awful so I should be able to catch up on some work.
My best friend lives 6 hours away and I get to see her Saturday! Last time I saw her was in December at my shower. She gets to meet C and is bringing two huge bags of hand me downs from her girls.
ginkgoleaf I'm getting my hair cut TOO after about 7 months....saw myself in a picture from this weekend and was NOT pleased! Plus, it's time for me...
I'm looking forward to going to Austin this weekend. We're staying at one of the really nice resorts, and it will be with BIL and his wife. They're super awesome and we should have a lot of fun. We haven't had much time just the four of us (no parents or kid) so I'm looking forward to it. Plus more pool time.

Thank you ladies! Mom has an xray sometime today and a draining.
pooh8402- any idea (even a rough range) of how much longer she might be in the hospital? She's on oxygen and hasn't tried breathing without it. She is pretty labored even with it but can talk, get to the bathroom, etc. Looks like we're definitely going to have to stay with her when she gets home (she lives on her own)...she was told she would be up and about, driving, living normally once released from the hospital. That was supposed to be Sat and I highly doubt she'll be going home today.
I'm looking forward to getting my pap over with this week (it's on Wednesday). Today I have to go in for a blood draw, fun. Also we might visit the ILs on Thursday to give FIL his Father's Day gift, a dog bed for the new puppy they're getting in 3 weeks.

Honestly, it's up to her and how quickly her body can drain the fluid from her lungs. If she's having labored breathing while ON the oxygen, it's a pretty slim chance she'll go home today or even tomorrow. I imagine her doctors want to see her moving around while off oxygen and no distress.

Thanks! That's what I figured...and it's best she stays put until she's better. My aunt will stay with her the first night but not sure about the rest of the week. I can go over during the day but spending the night isn't an option. Kind of scary that they almost sent her home...so glad we all advocated for her to stay (the doctor was adamant that she was ok to go home and then was irritated/annoyed because she had already done the discharge paperwork). When the doctor saw the xray results he commented that she would have been in the ER within an hour of discharge.

That is scary. Honestly, as much as medicine has advanced, it's still about as much an art as it is a science.

Due to a conflict with child care I'll be home with lo on Wed. Now to try to make plans. For some reason I can't quite define, I don't like taking lo to the park on my own and I don't want to keep her cooped up all day either. I don't drive so I'll have either Uber or figure out where we are going to go via the T.
Summer term starts this week, and I have a weekend class on Friday and Saturday. I'm looking forward to the weekend class because it's my first class through the University rather then the community college.

I'm off today, so that's nice! I'm exhausted though so I might take a nap since E just fell asleep. On Sunday we have a little family reunion on H's side. MIL's cousin and his family are going to be here from Poland so they try to get everyone together each year. E will also finally get to meet his cousin that's 6 weeks younger than him! Cousin as in H's cousin's son, not an actual cousin, because he probably won't ever have any of those...
