Yes, worked fantastically for DS. He was 3.25yo though, a bit older than most kids. We wanted him to be settled from DD's birth before we trained. He had 5 accidents day 1, two on day 2, none on day 3, and only a scattered few since. That was a month ago. He's totally got it.
ETA: we are using a pull-up for nap and nighttime, and will for the foreseeable future.
by day 2 DD could stop herself if she started to pee and tell us. She still has accidents 2 weeks later though. There were 2 this morning and she is not poop trained yet.

Ds1 refused to poop the potty until I caught him at just the right time one day I saw the look in his eyes like he needed to poop so I whisked him to the toilet and had him sitting there before he knew it, and pooped because he had no choice, physiologically. I then made such a gigantic fuss about how amazing a job he did (it even involved him calling his grandparents to brag) that he got really excited about it and it hasn't been an issue since. He was a few days shy of 3.

May I ask how you knew they were ready for this? M went on the toilet three times at daycare today and then again for me before bath. His interest seems to come and go.
Dd1 only needed the three days. DD2 it took about two weeks for me to say we were officially potty trained. But we went full out, no pull ups or diapers at nap or nighttime.

It took about seven days for us, DS1 was 30 months. We did naps after two weeks and overnight a month later. He's only wet the bed twice and I know it's tied to how tired he is, he sleep through if exhausted.

With my first she was 22 months and absolutely would not wear a diaper so we PTed (didn't use the 3 day methodology, but it took about 3 or 4 days), with my 2nd she was 26 months and I was done with diapers so we PTed (different methodology, but still took about 3 days), with my 3rd he was 23 months and I decided to train him (used 3 day method, and he was trained by the end of the second day, it was by far easier than my other "methods" involving bribes and timers and such). The general theory in the 3 day method is that you can do it anytime after 22 months and the earlier the better.
