I probably wouldn't send her in just a onsie, but in a onsie & shorts. And let the teacher know if they think she's hot, she's free to take her shorts off to cool her off.
It's not fashion forward, but I think comfort trumps all for a 15m old. That said, I'm sure there are some who would judge you.
Is the fabric you're using a breathable cotton? Is it staying damp and maybe she needs to change at some point in the day? Have you tried a loose cotton skirt over a onesie?
Do you have any of the carters onesie dresses? I love those and rompers in the summer. They have the 3 snaps just like a onesie, but they're a little dressier.
I love these. I have to stop myself from buying them whenever I see them in the store.
When it comes to daycare, I say put her in whatever you feel she'll be the most comfortable in. It really shouldn't matter. If you think that's a onesie, then go for it.
Thanks kdubs923. We have that romper and it's actually super super cute. I do send her in rompers a lot but I feel like they're a huge pain for diaper changes and I feel bad.
kershnic They are cotton shorts, but I actually never thought about changing them. I don't know why not, that's a novel idea lol.
Wait, do you have to pull the whole romper down for a diaper change? The boy rompers have snaps at the crotch like a onsie.

I had no idea. That is a huge pain!
DS is wearing some old rompers that were DD's and they snap at the crotch, too. I don't think this is specifically a boy thing, maybe a brand thing?
I'd second the romper/dresses from Carters - I got some for my niece and they're just adorable.
I'd think at 15 mos there shouldn't be any complaint re: snaps and diaper changes. I would assume that's still a frequent obstacle. I loved onesies for DS because shirts rode up so much on him until he thinned out a bit around 18 mos. In all honesty, I still kind of miss them
ETA: This is what I got for my niece, and bonus there's a Cora's Cuties series of headbands that match perfectly

DD has several rompers from Carter's, and they all have snaps at the crotch like a onesie. They're my favorite outfits for summer.

Rompers with snaps in the crotch or the Carter's onesie dresses were the staple for my girls in summer at that age. 3-4 snaps at the crotch is standard for daycare to be dealing with so I wouldn't worry too much about diaper changes.
This might not be a problem where you are, but we aren't allowed to send kids to daycare in just a onesie- the diaper has to be completely covered. It's a state law.

I really don't think the two extra snaps on a romper are that much worse than a onesie. I do think 15 months is two old to wear onesie only. But who cares really?? I think dresses with a diaper cover are comfy
We love rompers! They snap at the crotch so no issue with diaper changes.
DD also wears a lot of dresses/leggings, dresses/diaper covers, tank tops/shorts, etc. in this weather. We are moving away from onesies. She is almost one year.
Although in full disclosure, yesterday I picked her up at DC and she was just wearing a onesie with shoes & socks. I laughed (was not upset), but put "real clothes" on her as soon as we got home.
