Mine shed like crazy until somewhere around DD's first birthday. I didn't get cut until DD was a little over 11 months, but that was more just due to not making it a priority, not because of the shedding. I'd say go ahead and get it cut now if you want to. There's no reason to wait until the shedding stops. I think mine shed longer than it does for most people, but you probably have several months to go at the least. Sorry.
The high point of shedding for me was the 4-5 month range. I got a haircut around 4 months just because I thought it was looking super thinned out, and chopping some inches plus adding layers made it feel fuller.
The shedding really slowed down by 6-7 months, and by 9 months I had wee wispy bangs from regrowth at my temples.
I want to say it slowed quite a bit around 6m. I didn't do anything too dramatic, just kept trimming it as usual until it seemed grown in. I definitely had wispies around my hairline for a while, probably until closer to a year.
Started at 3 months, and it has just started to slow down now that I'm at 6 months. I have visible thin patches on the side of my head. I really want to chop it all off.
I got a huge haircut before going back to work - so around 13/14 weeks pp? It didn't really help. About 6 months the shedding went back to my normal shedding before pregnancy.
