We spend a lot of time at the pool/beach during the summer and I wanted to get a baby-wearing device that would be water-friendly. I bought a mesh ring sling from Beachfront Baby and tried it out in the pool today. LOVE it! Super comfy, lightweight and dries very fast. P felt secure and relaxed and I was able to have my hands a bit more free in case J needed me. This will absolutely help me get through this summer doing fun water activities with both kids solo. If anyone is looking for a baby-wearing device that can get wet, I highly recommend this one. They also sell a mesh moby style wrap, in case that would be better for your needs (haven't tried it, but looked interesting if P had been younger this summer).

I went to Joann fabric today and bought athletic mesh for the same purpose. I'm just going to use it as a wrap, though. It was super cheap bc there was a 50% off coupon online
sewpinkgal I have been looking for something like this! Can you post a link please? Any thoughts on what would be best for a 3 month old (sling vs wrap)?

Thanks guys!
@supergreen - Here is the link to the slings: beachfrontbabywraps.com/product-category/slings/ I was never super comfortable using a Moby style wrap, so I think I would personally try a sling even for a 3mo, but a lot of that is personal preference. In the instructions, they have a guide for carrying a bitty baby in the sling before you can do the hip carry.
RexManningDay - Is the cheaper one a pouch style? (Similar to a ring sling, but no ring buckle thing?) I use my Baby K'Tan as a pouch around the house. It's fine, but I was actually shocked at how much more comfortable an actual, adjustable sling is compared to an already sized pouch. I think if you're not going to use it much, maybe try the pouch and see how it goes? You can always upgrade if you find you're using it a ton. Wish you lived closer - you could try mine out and see what you think.
