Gross. And I hate mingling. I just want to talk to the people I want to talk to, alright?!
This is me. I always feel awkward!
We are going to build a house and we got a quote of upgrades we wanted last night. :/ Time to start cutting things out. Some things I thought would cut costs, actually cost more. Wtf!?
I work 5a-1p. This morning I came to work and saw an invitation from our manager for a "Surprise." For 1pm. She doesn't like the fact that there are 2 of us who start so early, so she always schedules things late. Monday our team meeting went from 1-2:30, even though we had all morning where no one had meetings. Luckily, I had been warned to come in late from another co-worker, otherwise I would have been stuck here, tired with no lunch. We won't complain though, because then she will make a passive aggressive comment about start time. If you don't like it, then tell us to change it! Ok, that one was more of a long vent!
If you guys hate mingling, you would HATE my job (fitness studio)! All I do is talk to people all day and then when I am not in the studio, I am networking and attending events/meetings where all we do is talk.
I am putting together our social calendar for this summer and it is packed! 98% fun stuff, so it is all good. I had to block out a weekend to do nothing so that Jerry doesn't burst, lol.
I think I have successfully convinced my husband to go on a relaxing beach vacation! He's not a sit on the beach and chill kind of guy but I showed him a resort and he surprisingly really wants to go!
My husband is not a beach guy either. But if you're looking for a beach buddy, I'm your gal. A beach, an umbrella, a kindle and a drink is my ideal vacation.

I know this sounds ridiculous, but working 9-6 instead of 10-6 makes the days so much longer! I've been so tired this week, but probably mostly because I got up at 4am Monday to drive home. I am really liking this summer hours thing though! I'm taking Friday off, so I'll hopefully be able to leave early tomorrow with my banked hours. Or I'll save them and take another random day off. Like my job wasn't flexible enough already, lol. Don't hate me! hahaha
I had to close my door because someone brought her kids in (her last day was Friday, so she's just visiting), and they are so fucking loud! And now one of the other accountants is playing with them and paper airplanes in the hallway outside my office. I feel a "Yeah, when I said I don't like kids, I meant it..." convo coming this afternoon. hahaha

A coworker brought a huge bag of fresh peaches from their house and put it in the kitchen at work. Perfect timing since I finished off the last plum yesterday and didn't have any other fresh fruit at my desk for snacking on this week.
We had dinner last night at my childhood best friend's home with her family. Her youngest son doesn't like to wear clothes so he was butt-naked running around the house the whole time we were there. She put some undies on him a few times, but every time within 5 minutes he had them off again. I guess it's a struggle to get him to wear just about anything when they leave the house, which I didn't know she was dealing with. Funny problem from an outsider's perspective, but that's got to be exhausting to deal with for her!
