DD first spent the night at my parents at 9 months. We could have been open to it sooner, but no real opportunity for it. We left her for a week at 14 months
Not yet at 16 months and it's nowhere on the horizon. I have nowhere to go alone, and we have no one to watch them if we both went somewhere. I'm not sure it will happen until they're old enough to fly unaccompanied to grandma and grandpa.

The first time we both left J for a night was when he was 18 months. I don't know why we waited so long.
I left for 3 days for my grandmother's funeral when he was only 8 weeks. J was FF so it wasn't a big deal on the feeding front, but it was really hard on me.
Here's where I always feel a little sheepish admitting DS was 8 weeks and we stayed a night in a nice B&B to get away...and we've been leaving him semi-regularly overnight with Gigi and Poppy ever since. (Probably average a weekend every few months)
Both kids stayed at my mom's house overnight (she lives 15 mins away) at 6 weeks old.
Only having to get up once a night to pump was AMAZING!
She's the best mom/Nana ever and doesn't mind getting up with babies at night. And I'm a miserable bitch with long term sleep deprivation. So starting at about 6 weeks she will watch my babies overnight about once a week to give me a break.
He was 6 months when I left him for the first time (although H was with him). He was probably something like 18 months when we both left him overnight. between work travel and grandparent sleepovers i'm sure i've been away overnight at least 50 nights at this point (27 months).
bearbaby, no shame! My kids probably spend and average of 2 or 3 nights a month with their grandparents (between the IL's and my parents). And have been since they were 2 months old. They are almost 3 and 4.5 now.
I left DD overnight with H before a year, but didn't leave her with anyone else until she was verbal and potty-trained, just shy of 2.5. No one would take her before that and the eureka! idea of paying an overnight sitter didn't occur to me until DD was about 4.
DH can't get away at all now, so it's been kind of a moot point with DS. This is my year to do a lot of traveling with just the kids.

Not to be a Debbie downer, but they can only fly unaccompanied on direct flights. I'm still bitter at Delta for cutting most of the direct flights between here and the ILs just as DD reached the age to fly alone.

That is frustrating! We often fly direct so I hope that won't be too much of a challenge. My nephews (age 6) are doing it for the first time next month to see my parents!
I think I'm feeling guilt that this potential overnight is totally totally un necessary and for fun. ... not work related.
Don't feel guilty. Here are the times my H and I have left DD so far: 2 nights at 8 weeks, one night at 8 months, 6 days at 10 months, 2 nights at 11 months. All (the long time away was due to daycare being closed, went with my MIL), were for fun purposes.

I feel this way sometimes, lol. We brought E to the ILs at 4 weeks overnight. My BFF was in town and I really needed a night out! I also wasn't able to BF so I'm sure that plays a factor but assuming he was taking a bottle at that point, I probably still would have gone out!
