One of my friends posted a pic of her 24 mth olds skirt and it's the same size as her 7 year olds shorts. And it's a short skirt. I am sick of seeing 11 year olds with ass cheeks hanging out. Before you think I am just grumpy and get off my lawn, one of the comments on the pic was 'what's next ? Elsa's face on my wAxing kit?' Lol.
What size is the 24 mo old wearing??When dd1 was almost 3, and potty trained, I had to put her back in 12-18 mo shorts. Anything bigger fell off her skinny little tush. Luckily they were not that short on her, but obviously shorter than when she was 1. I don't like seeing really short shorts and skirts in little girls either.
I think the issue is that the 2 yr old shorts are the same length as the 7 year olds skirt. Meaning the 7 year olds skirt is way short, not that the 2 year old shorts were too short. I think anyway lol.
Ew. Yeah, I feel like a total old lady when I see a pre-teen with a tight, itty bitty pair of shorts/skirt on and I tell DH, I'd never let my daughter dress that way, what is that mom thinking? It just looks gross.
DD1 (8.5) wears short shorts, but I don't think they are inappropriate for around the house or sports. She is tiny and is all legs so some if it is just the way shorts fit her. No butt cheeks though I wear short shorts to run so I have no room to talk. I'm very modest unless I am running and then I DGAF.
Sometimes I look at the dresses that DD has on and I think it's too short. But she's going through tons of growth spurts and the dress fit like 3 weeks ago! The shorts are all a good length, though. I don't really have an issue finding "long" shorts.

I hate short shorts. Even for my 2yo I see a lot of them out there but also there are definitely longer options. My daughter has no chance of wearing them out of the house when she is older though.
