I was cutting up chicken breast for dinner and right in the middle was a green spot. I turned it over and found another green spot on the top. Um, fucking gross. But the chicken looked normal and didn't smell or anything. I googled and it said free range chicken can have green spots and they're basically bruises and harmless. I've never seen that before, though, and this was just the breast, not the whole chicken.
I threw it away but has anyone seen that before? Is it really harmless?
I have never seen that before. I raised birds that were free range and never encountered it or heard of it before. I would have tossed it as well. Was there skin on?

Glad I threw it out now. Kind of annoyed, though.
No, it didn't have the skin. Just a package of breast. I read something like the free range birds flap or fight and get bruises. But yeah, food poisoning is not worth it.

Lol maybe that's why it was all on sale...
that's how they get you. With a trunk full of chicken, there's no way to check it all.
