I have a huge wall that is completely empty going from the kitchen table to the end of the family room. I am going to have a large picture placed over the kitchen table but it still leaves like 14 feet of empty wall. I don't want to spend $400 on a console table to fill the space because we are only going to be in the house for 1 more year. I've attached a pic of the wall. Does this ikea lack console table look ok? (Link 1). I was thinking I can get that and finish a project I've been working on..with song lyrics.. Similar to the second link to lean on the table with maybe some other decorative items? And magazines in the holes? Or should I do something completely different?
Love the table. For budget friendly decor you could do decorative candle sticks of different heights and candles and throw a succulent down and done! The art doesn't go with the table and I wouldn't put a tallish thing over a long console table.

Hm that sounds like a plan. The table doesn't scream "hi I was only $60" does it? I have a bunch of other blank walls I can hang the art.
What about a bench by your door, maybe with a basket for shoes/umbrellas/magazines/whatever, and then an arrangement of framed family photos and little mirrors across the wall?

I don't think it does lol! I like the clean lines and think it could totally work. Throw the art elsewhere
