Dramamine just came out with a naturals line and one of the products are ginger tabs. They seriously saved me.
Did your OB ok this? I want to get some but haven't gone to the OB yet and am wondering if 1,000 mg (which is the dose in the tabs) is ok for pregnancy.
I saw my OB briefly yesterday and he gave me some ideas. Benadryl, B6, sea bands, peppermint oil. I started B6, I have peppermint oil that helps a bit. I hesitate to do Benadryl because I'm already exhausted. And seabands would just advertise that I'm pregnant, which I don't want to do yet. I even bought some fresh ginger to juice and make homemade Gingerale.
He said he would write me a script, but I feel like the fact that I'm not puking means I don't really warrant thAt. I just feel nauseated. All. The. Time.
So what worked/works for you?
I hope something has been working for you vthokie and that you've gotten some relief! I am starting to deal w/ this too so I was searching for the topic on here. W/ Max my nausea was all day, not fun but not to the point where I wanted meds... however, I may need to get them this time bc I am already feeling it. What ended up working for you? I bought some preggie pops and using jolly ranchers. Ginger candy doesn't seem to be doing crap (I am eating the ginger people chews - no pun intended w/ my kid!)
It was a crap shoot for me. At almost 17 weeks, I'm finally feeling mostly better. My prescription ran out so I am trying to go without. It's been 4 days. I WAS on full dose of Diclegis (which is B6 and unisom). I took 2 at night, 1 in the am and 1 at noon. It still made me feel bad, just not AS bad. Being tired makes it worse. Eating in the evening still makes me feel bad. I try hard to eat at least 1000 calories and to stay hydrated, but it's tough. I wasn't sick with A, so this is a big change. I feel like maybe I've finally rounded the corner though

I started on Zofran, but was switched to another med (can't remember name now) when Zofran wouldn't cut it. I was puking constantly though, so didn't feel too bad about starting meds. I kept a Baggie of dried cereal with me at all times (usually Crispix or Chex) which seemed easier on my stomach than crackers.
ETA: sorry, should have read all the way through. I'm glad you are finally seeing an end to the nausea!

A daily total of 1000 mg of ginger in a capsule preparation can be suggested by care providers as a means of decreasing pregnancy nausea and vomiting in women who tend to herbal medicines.

Ugh! Glad something is taking the edge off.
I just started week 6 and the nausea is BAD! Eating sour stuff is helping though... even a sour smoothie :/ I just had one and it is less intense. I have friends visiting from out of town this weekend, no idea how I will make it through the "fun"
