I'm on edge after basically having it confirmed that she's aging last week. She's ten but she's still a puppy to me.
I get really paranoid about everything Sarah does. She's at least 9 and her eyes are looking a little cloudy and I'm like, "OMG GLAUCOMA" and Patrick's like, "Calm the fuck down, she's just old."
My BT always looks like that so I think it's normal?
My mom has 4/had 5 BTs and was alarmed. It's dangling so much more than we have ever noticed and all the bumps are really raised. I hope it goes back in by the morning.

Now I'm convinced my dog is dying. Lol. I will check his tomorrow and try to take a pic.

Brucie's do this also when he is really hot/need a drink. Maybe a couple of ice cubes in her water might entice her to drink more? Poor sweet girl, I understand analyzing every single thing. I hope she's okay!

thedahliharpa, how is it this morning? I couldn't remember what it was called, but I checked with my docs, and it can be a form of Bell's Palsy- it is sudden, and it's from the 7th cranial nerve. BT's aren't susceptible any more than any other dog. The only thing to watch for is that it can cause their eye on that side to no longer blink, and may require artificial tears. Hope it was nothing more than the heat!!!

It was worse and she scratched it and it was a little bloody. We are in the parking lot of the vet now.
It looks a little better now that she stopped scratching it.

Ok, well now I'm freaking out. They are doing a full work up because the vet suspects a internal bleeding autoimmune disorder. I can't text DH until they come out with the results because he will lose it.

Oh my gosh, dahli. Praying it is nothing serious, thinking of sweet Abbey girl. Sorry about the huge expense though, that's a tough one. I'm glad you brought her in though and trusted your gut! Sending hugs your way.
