I read it and it is a quick, gossip filled read that is not written very well. I used to love The Girls Next Door so I figured I might as well see what she has to say. She makes some pretty bad statements about Playboy and Hugh Hefner which is what makes it a good read. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but it if you liked the show it is worth reading.

I forgot this came out! I just "bought" the audiobook with one of my audible credits. I watched the show and figured it would be an easy listen while commuting.

I was considering this but then listened to a sample and I'm not sure I could tolerate listening to her narration. Normally I like books read by the authors but her voice is so horrible and her inflection is terrible.

Darn it - I should have done that. I also like it when an author narrates the book, but her voice does get annoying. Oh well - too late now!
I just started reading it, thanks in part to this thread haha. I've enjoyed it so far, anyone know who "Vicky" is. I'm not too familiar with hefs girlfriends and wasn't sure if that was a real name or a pseudonym.

I couldn't figure it out. But I found this list of his girlfriends...
Apparently erotica has gotten quite a boost from ereaders.
I don't think 50 Shades would hAve been as popular if people had to carry that book around!
One day our whole computer system was down at work and they told us we could bring in books when we came back from lunch because they couldn't just let us go in case it came back and one of my coworkers brought in 50 Shades. We were all like (huh)
I don't think I could handle listening to Holly read this book, I could never stand her voice when I'd try to watch the show back in the day. I assume she had a cowriter/ghost writer though, right?
I just read the Buzzfeed article/interview about it which hit on a lot of the highlights (I'm assuming). I would still like to read it once I'm done with the book I'm reading now.

Reading that totally jogged my memory about another book written by a former playmate, or rather an interview with her about her book. She had more details (according to her the porn that was played was gay porn) but a lot of the details overlap. link
