WHY do all the sippy cups I like get discontinued?
I loved most straw cups when DD1 was a toddler, but now they are all awful and have that ridiculous "click tight" close which pops open the second they're thrown. I FINALLY found the Tommee Tippee straw cups and have been using them for both girls.
DD1 lost hers today, so I went to Amazon to buy more. They're discontinuing them, so the price is insane. I know they're going to change them so they "click" closed instead of screwing closed.
GRRRR.
I think I might go to the grocery store tomorrow and buy any they have on the shelves!
Anyone want to try to sell me on a straw sippy that isn't too babyish (so DD1 will use it) that is also toddler proof?
I haven't had an issue with the click tight ones popping open and mine are thrown all over.
That said, my favorite straw cups now are just the camelbak water bottles. So now the vast majority of the time we use those and the 360 type cups with the lid where the liquid comes out all around but at a slower "filtered" type pace.

Do the Rubbermade and Camelbak ones work for insane 2 year olds? I just assumed those would leak all over like a Take & Toss when my crazy child turns them upside down to dump water out and tell me, "I cleaning, mama!"
I use the Thermos Funtainer for DD1 at school. But DD2 dumps water out of those, so I don't use them at home since no matter who the sippy is assigned to, it WILL end up in DD2's hands.

All 3 kids use them (3 and 15.5 mos). We haven't had any issues and the girls throw cups off the table every day.
This is why when I find something I LOVE, I buy a bunch in case it disappears. I am reminded of this when I see my hoarded 5 containers of Resolve stain pretreater every time I do laundry.
My fav part is that they're super easy to clean. They generally don't spill unless they throw them right after they've finished drinking. But I've had no issues with leaking carrying them in my purse, etc.

the Rubbermaid ones work for my insane 2 year old. i mean she can still shake out a few drops when she wants to but it's nothing like the unholy take & toss messes.
