DS likes the moby but it's too hot for summer. I tried the ergo but he HATES it (I just put the little pillow under his butt). We also have a baby born but it's not the most comfortable for me.
For summer, I'm sort of at a loss on what to use. Woven wraps seem sort of intimidating... So maybe a ring sling? Anything else I should consider?
msniq used the Solly Wrap when V was little. It's a thinner moby wrap. It's not that initimidating. I think it took her two tries to get the hang of it.

Simple front carries in a woven wrap are really not hard if you already know how to use the Moby. Linen is supposed to be cooler than cotton. There are lots of harder things you CAN do with a woven wrap, but you certainly don't have to learn lots of carries.
A water wrap would be a cooler summer alternative to a Moby, and I agree with others about a linen ring sling being a good option. Seems like everyone in my local Hike It Baby swears by the Outback and Nextstep Onyas for hot weather, but that might be too similar to the Ergo.
