Ha! It's freaking hot! :-). Still love summer, though. Last weekend with the mugginess almost changed my mind though. And we were in Goldendale/The Dalles. HOT. We've managed to stay pretty cool, and have explored more splash pads, river spots, and shady parks than I knew existed. So far, Grant Park and Blue Lake are our favorite stay cool, stay wet areas. And having the backyard done this year is AWESOME - we can finally use our BBQ and we can kill an afternoon running through the sprinkler.
We are doing pretty good. I want to kiss the inventor of the water table. The girls spend so much time playing with that thing, I actually got to drink my coffee on the patio this morning WHILE THE COFFEE WAS STILL HOT! After a couple of hours though, they are pretty much done. Which I am okay with since we are all so fair and even with sunscreen get pink easily. We do have a/c though, which is a blessing now and will be a curse (or I might curse) when the electric bill comes.
That's awesome about your backyard! I remember last year being so rough with DD2 because she was a new walker and not a great listener and even though our yard is fenced in, there were so many edges and corners that freaked me out! Playing outside was rough. This year is a whole new ballgame and I think the summer will go smoother. We can also play in the front yard due to the better listening and her not immediately making a beeline down our steep hill.

A serious hell yes on the water table. I found ours last year on Craigslist for $10, and I have gotten so much use out of it. DS doesn't love the sprinkler, so I have been turning it on for DD and he just climbs on in to the water table to watch her.
