My husband is an RN so he buys about 3 pairs of walking shoes a year. His feet are 15W so he usually has to pay around $150 per pair to get them giant enough. His dress shoes last forever because they only come out for weddings but they run around $150 as well.
Dh gets a new pair of work boots every year. he likes a specific pair of timberlands that at the outlet are only $75 which is really good. He very very rarely wears dress shoes and has 2 pair that he's had for at least 5 years. I have no clue what they cost. He also buys new sneakers every 6 months or so at $100/ pair
DH would, and does, happily spend $0. He'd wear his $15 WalMart specials that he bought when he forgot his shoes on a work trip, but they are fug. I spend about $100-$150 a year on his behalf on a pair or two and the Nordstrom sale.

Casual office - he spends about $80 on cross trainers every 9 mo or so and wears those until I throw them out.
(like a PP - he doesn't own many pairs of shoes - I try to buy him more but he likes these cross trainers and he has a pair of more loafer type shoes and one black kind of dressy shoes)
anywhere from 150-500 a pair (work boots are 500+). Special ordered normally since you can't find his size in most stores. I would say we put 1k a year just for his shoes, he is rough on them, since they are used for working outside.
He just got out of the military so he wore combat boots but we bought him a couple of pairs of leather bottomed Cole Haans for around $70/pair on clearance at Nordstrom Rack (which he thought was too expensive.)
My husband loves shoes but is cheap. He refuses to buy expensive shoes even when I encourage him to do so. I'm not sure what his problem is. He wears jeans to work and has a variety of shoes he wears with those. They are typically from Marshalls/TJ Maxx. He does have dressy shoes he wears to client sites and weddings. He probably spends $100 - $200 a year?
My H's work is casual so he usually wears Converse low-tops. His nice pair of dress shoes were about $300-ish Ferragamos, bought years ago. He wears them maybe about 1-2 times a month.

Virtually nothing. He may pick up a pair of dress shoes or sneakers at Target or Kohls once every few years.
He is required to wear steel-toed shoes for work since he has to walk through the manufacturing plant often as part of his job. His employer will reimburse him up to $200/year for them though so we never pay anything OOP.
Probably get a new pair in both black/brown every year (he always wears dress shoes). He had been spending $100 for each pair usually at DSW. We just bought him some Allen Edmonds at Nordstrom Rack last month that were $200/each...I hope they last awhile.
Casual shoes he probably gets 2 pairs a year and spends no more than $50/pair.

My H has more shoes than I do! It's either sneakers that he gets for $35 with company discount or dress shoes that he spends $600+ on. The good thing about the dress shoes is that they will last forever and now that he has 4 or 5 I think he has all color needs covered so he won't be buying any more for awhile.
Not very much. He only buys clothes/shoes when something really needs to be replaced.
He came across these recycled shoes about a year ago and wears them practically every day. he also bought a pair of flip-flops in the same brand. Then he found out that the company ("Simple") has gone out of business and he was pretty upset that nobody online seems to carry his size so he can stock up before they're all gone.

Don't use my DH as a guide ... he buys 1 pair of maybe $50 shoes once a year. He doesn't care what they look like, only that they are comfortable. If I would let him wear sandals to the office he'd wear them EVERY DAY. DH doesn't care for fashion - only function.
His shoes start around $250. He just sends them to the cobbler every now and then to get the taps re-done. His oldest pair is probably 10 years old and does not need to replace them. He only buys if he sees a good deal or wants a change, which is rare for him. lol.
