Do you wear Khaki pants/shorts/skirts? It's such a neutral color, but it always ends up looking like a school or work uniform when I put it on. Just curious what others think.
I have a few pairs of khaki capri and ankle pants. Generally wear them to work, as it's a way I can dress more casually during the week. I go for comfort, so I don't really mind if they are not in style.

I wear khaki shorts on weekends and khaki pants to work. I think material makes a big difference. I could see a chino type pant putting off a uniform vibe. Something softer doesn't usually have that look. I'd also steer clear of a red top or white button down to avoid looking like a Target employee or waitress.
I do occasionally but not that often. I'd rather wear jeans. I wore some khaki crops on the 4th mostly because they were more light weight. I wore them with a red shirt which I normally don't do, but I figured there would be other people doing the same!
amaranth, here's some examples. this is the same pair of shorts, from Old Navy. these are the only ones I could find where I had pictures, but I typically wear them pretty often.
I have khaki shorts as well, which I like. I so cannot get into khaki pants at all. They would be work appropriate for me, but I just don't do it, for the reasons you stated and I feel like I can't ever find a pair that look good.
