Kids are at my mom's house. And I can get a decent chunk of work hours from home while also catching up on laundry and cleaning around the house before my Dr's appt this afternoon.
I am having trouble breathing this morning. I suspect that this will only become more common.
All throughout the 3rd tri, H would ask if I was mad at him because I was breathing so loudly and apparently sounded annoyed. He also mistaked my breathing for our bulldog's one night. :/ The dog was on the couch with us and jumped down and H was all "I'm glad he moved - he's breathing so loud I can't hear the... Oh. Never mind."
He now tells his friends with pg wives to be careful of the "water buffalo breathing stage". Lol
I was also called out at a large work meeting by a young intern sitting several spots away from me. On a bathroom break she asked if I was in pain because I was breathing heavy.
I'm so irritated with the library. EVERY GD THING THEY DO for kids is M-F during working hours. I'm not asking for a fancy long Saturday program or anything, just someone to sit down and read a story on a weekend day FFS.
I commented that some weekend programming would be nice after they posted on FB another monthly schedule with nothing working-parent friendly. Then this morning, another weekly schedule came out with nothing. I don't expect changes overnight or anything but I'm irritated.
I feel like here anyway, the programs are for people stuck during the week with little to do. On the weekend, for a lot of people, your family is all home and you are doing the family outings. Also, programs likely mean one more staff member and Saturdays are busy days at the library anyway - and staffing on the weekend is likely hard. From my experience (working mom) all the activities scheduled for weekdays are packed with people signing up but when someone suggests a weeknd, it often gets poor response. (Meet ups, Facebook parents group)

Did he have to choose something so BIG to compare us to? I mean, really.
DD got a cold from her cousins and DH and I are probably going to get it too. At least since I'm in the 2WW I can take medicine for it if needed.
we are having a lazy morning. Not sure what we will do today. Need to go pick up some more craft paper for her dollhouse and maybe a trip to the library.
Brie see if the downtown library on Main has weekend programming. It is an awesome library!
One trick potty training pony--DS woke up completely dry this morning and used the potty right away. Sent him to DC with like 5 extra pairs of shorts and underwear. Fingers crossed he does as well today as he did yesterday!
Booo it's leave the lake day. I hate leave the lake day. Let's all cross our fingers that H gets a call back this week about the job he applied for in this area. Then we'd only be 2.5 hours from the lake instead of 6!

Any update on your period?
I'm calling it here, finally. I was spotting on Saturday and most of Sunday, and last night it turned to tampon worthy amounts. I'm actually really relieved. The spotting made me uncertain if I was really having a period or not. So, question: my last 6 cycles have been 41 days (after IUD removal), 37 (IUD removed on CD 33), 47 days, preceded by 31, 31, 31, all with IUD. When trying to calculate my "average cycle length" do I ignore everything pre-IUD removal?
Sorry, overstating. But it's hard to anticipate where fertile windows and dude dates line up on my spreadsheet without knowing the cycle length!

But, thanks for commiserating.
I know, right? He got a serious side eye from me and my 8 months pg BFF when he said that this weekend. Lol
I do feel you, though. It sucks and is so annoying.
Crap, the struggle is real today. I didn't sleep well and I can't seem to get the motivation to do anything but drink my coffee and arrange photos for a future photo book.
I was up until 1230 with H making hay before the rain. Up at 5 with H to milk some cows. I'm tired. I'm about to head out to get a few groceries and pick up my brother's wedding gift. I think I deserve a medal after that. Or just a good coffee, which I will stop and get.
I also hope something fun is on sale at Herberger's! I'm in the mood to shop.

I only work pt but I find this annoying, too. Dh works ft and it would be nice to have easy activities that they could do together, especially during the summer. Bonus points if it doesn't start at 9.
So...I went for real on potty training this weekend. DS was doing pretty well after Memorial Day weekend, but I was too lazy to keep it up since he was only at 80%, so we went back to diapers. He'd been more cooperative at daycare, though. I knew that if I didn't want him to get really attached to diapers, we had to try again soon.
I read that "Oh Crap!" book (which was hard because the author is smug and awful, I read the least of it possible), and tried a different approach. I knew that DS could do this and would catch on quickly, so we basically had him naked, told him to pee in the potty and asked him to sit down every few hours. No constant "are you dry" and "tell me if you need to go potty." Also, no rewards. His reward was going to flush the pee or poop with me.
He had 1 accident the first day, 2 the second, and none the third. He even pooped 3 times. He tells us before peeing and pooping 90% of the time.
This morning, I put on underwear, showed him how to pull them down before sitting in the potty. I told him that he should keep them dry, even if they felt like diapers.
I was going upstairs to get stuff and I hear him screaming from downstairs "I have to go potty!" I tell him to go, pull his underwear and shorts down and do it. When I got back downstairs 30 seconds later, there he was, on the potty with his underwear and shorts down.
We also didn't use diapers for naps. We'll deal with overnight in a month or so when MIL is here to do it, lol. May as well use up the remaining diapers, too.
So excited... I can see the end of the diaper phase and it is SO CLOSE!
We are using her book too. Started yesteday afternoon. No accidents but the kid is like a freaking camel. He did pee in the potty but he can hold it like no one's business. According to the nanny he hasn't evne gone this morning. He does love getting to "dump" the potty. H is sold on doing the comando thing and not going to underwear for another couple weeks. We will see how the next couple days go.
Right now, I have no meetings on my calendar for this week, so I might be able to work from home every day! I am already planning to be home Wednesday - I have the chair rail and crown molding being installed in the nursery and the window treatments for our family room and morning room will be going up that morning!! I am ridiculously excited.
My day has already started off nicely. DS's drop off went okay - he's in a new room at school so he's been crying at drop off. He cried this morning but actually stopped and went to play, so I could leave peacefully. I met another mom there this morning whose son is 2 months younger. Then I went and bought the paint for the nursery and did a class at the gym. Home now getting some work done.

Yeah, I didn't buy that whole "just send him commando" to daycare thing. And I'm not putting my kids in pants with elastic bottoms to contain poop. I live in Houston and it is going to be 95 degrees today and int he 70% humidity range.
I'll keep him commando at home, but I'm hoping we can figure out this underwear thing in a week at daycare. Then we don't have to worry about doing errands after daycare and him having problems with underwear.
But damn, I hate that book. I can usually get over tone, but this was too much.
Yeah she is smug and the whole being a trapeze artist threw me for a loop. Our issue is the kid won't go regardless. He isn't even peeing outside of the potty. It is hard to get him to understand if he doesn't ever go. She doesn't address this.

DW had a rough night with DD and didn't wake me up to help. I feel like an ass because I heard her crying once but thought she had it under control. DW is sleeping now and I have the baby so hopefully she'll get a good nap.
Our main living area is so cluttered right now and I can't seem to make a dent in the clutter. We're out of storage space, especially in the kitchen, so I have to actually get rid of stuff and it's so hard.
I am feeling so depressed lately. This pregnancy is taking a harder toll on my body than the first one. Everything hurts. We are house hunting but nothing is coming up in our price range. This is supposed to be a l/mcol area and we can't find a single thing in our price range that meets our needs. Baby #2 is not going to have a nursery. We are already filled to the brim with O's stuff. I've lost touch with so many friends (all DINKS) and I don't have any mom friends. We're fighting with my parents and my 16 month old has regressed to co-sleeping. We have tried everything and she wakes up a million times a night. I can't drink. I have no time to myself, except when I am working.
