DS1 was bitten at gym childcare, hard enough to break the skin. Poor guy was so upset. The kid who did it looked a little old to be biting, maybe 4? Do kids still bite at that age? The poor mom looked just mortified. I can't be too mad, though - I'd lay money on DS1 trying to steal the toy that was the source of conflict in the first place.
Whatever happened, he was extremely upset about his "really bad owie" so we had to skip the grocery store and come directly home to drink juice and watch Tarzan.
My DS STARTED biting at 3.5. Uggh he learned the behavior from my cousin's kid who is just the spawn of satan. He bites like it's a game. Like " I'm gonna eat you up" at first he mouths you but if he doesn't get a response he will use teeth. He only does this to is though. Never to other kids.
That's good he's not directing it at other kids! My 3yo can be violent, but sticks to slapping or pushing. Hopefully today's incident doesn't give him any ideas.
we got a bill from our synagogue for next years dues and instead of saying the discounted amount we agreed to, it has the full amount, which is way too much for us. I don't think I'll have a problem getting it straightened out, but I hate having to deal with this stuff. Even with the discounted amount it's still a huge expense and doesn't include additional expenses like the building fund and Hebrew school. For some reason this has set off my anxiety about money and now I'm freaking out about our upcoming expenses and still trying to meet our savings goals.
We are using her book too. Started yesteday afternoon. No accidents but the kid is like a freaking camel. He did pee in the potty but he can hold it like no one's business. According to the nanny he hasn't evne gone this morning. He does love getting to "dump" the potty. H is sold on doing the comando thing and not going to underwear for another couple weeks. We will see how the next couple days go.
Yeah, I didn't buy that whole "just send him commando" to daycare thing. And I'm not putting my kids in pants with elastic bottoms to contain poop. I live in Houston and it is going to be 95 degrees today and int he 70% humidity range.
I'll keep him commando at home, but I'm hoping we can figure out this underwear thing in a week at daycare. Then we don't have to worry about doing errands after daycare and him having problems with underwear.
But damn, I hate that book. I can usually get over tone, but this was too much.
She is completely obnoxious but her method worked so much better for us. Fwiw, dd has never confused undies for a diaper. We did commando under shorts at home for a bit just bc it's easier to pull down/up but she's always worn undies outside the house.
