Tell me about your pp periods

I've had my mirena in for around 10 months. Have had occasional spotting/cramping with a handful of days that was more bleeding than spotting. For the past few week, though, I've had tons and tons of mucusy cm. Bleeding has picked up too and includes clots. Several times I've thought it was my mucus plug/bloody show but iud.

I'm so confused about what this is. I can't tell if it's a pp period or if there is something more going on. The combination of so much cm and clots are new to me.

I feel like I should call my gyn to have the placement of my iud checked, but am not sure if this normal pp period stuff or not.

I didn't get an IUD, but my second pp period (first was at 6 weeks and lasted a day) was around 13-ish months I think and was pretty heavy. I know there were some clots and it was pretty thick and heavy overall, but it only lasted about a week.

I'd probably call and get checked out, just in case.
