I went to the vascular specialist today and everything is good. My INR ranges are in therapuetic range and he is not concerned with flying. The clot is below the knee and since I am taking blood thinners, it won't be a concern for flying. He was telling me there isn't any evidence that flying causes or will harm someone with DVT. People get DVTs from immobility, not from flying. So I get to go home on Wednesday! Yay!
I get to stop lovenox tonight, and will get xeralta instead of coumadin because it's a pain in the ass to get blood work every few days or once a week. Since we know why I got a DVT and I am not a fall risk (like an older person) and I can take xeralta. I have to follow up with a vascular specialist in 3 months and continue with xeralta for 3 months.
