I probably wouldn't but just tonight I was wondering if DH and I could get away with walking down the street (just for a walk to check out the new builds).
It's hard for me to imagine because there's no way my monitor would reach that far. Would you be going in the house? I might be okay with going and chatting for 10 minutes on their driveway, where you can see your own house, if the monitor worked, but I don't think I'd be comfortable going inside. My H and I walked a couple of houses down to watch a neighbor set off some fireworks on the 4th. We were in monitor range (houses are close together in my city) and could see DD's room the whole time, so I felt comfortable, but I think having sight of the house, specifically her room, helped.

Ok, I feel like a terrible breezy mom but if the monitor reached and my kids were good sleepers, I would totally go! I've done similar and bc our monitor didn't reach, we used our cell phones. (one in the baby's room on speaker and the other with us on speaker/mute.) <------- bad mom :/ or super fun social mom
I would. When we lived in Texas we used to go to our neighbor's for dinner/drinks after we put DS1 to bed. Our monitor reached and one of us would go home every 30 mins or so to peek in on things.
But I got flamed to hell and back for admitting that here at the time, so there's that.
based on your picture, no, I wouldn't be comfortable with that even if the monitor reached that far. I don't have a set distance, time, or age of the child that would make it OK or not OK, it's just a gut feeling that I defer to.
I will say while this distance makes me uncomfortable I mentioned upthread that I would do it for a small distance. However, I find it necessary to point out that my friend did this, although she was closer to a block I think. CPS was called and she was investigated and found to be guilty (because it is against the law to leave your kids unattended) and now she is on a list for 18 years saying she was found guilty. So I think my view is some what colored.
Everyone in our neighborhood does this for a 4-5 house range, which is probably about the same distance. They use iPads in the kids room with a baby monitor app and have an alarm on the house. 2-3 min is maybe a little far but if you were outside I think it would be great okay.
