My jaw has hurt since last Thursday (right where it connects to my skull, below my ear, and only on one side). I can't open my mouth all the way. It started hurting while I was sleeping (no injury). Is it time to go to the doctor?

Zulilly if I have to wait a month before my order is even shipped to me then you need you stop charging for shipping. I have half a mind to cancel my order.

Grinding your teeth or clenching?
It's possible, but I haven't had trouble with that before and wouldn't it be on both sides? I don't know.
It's somewhat ironic that I had a ridiculously stressful June work-wise and then this started up 2 days after I submitted the last major deliverable and had a long weekend of no work coming up, but I guess stress can work in mysterious ways!

Some people have no sense of self preservation. I was leaving Target this morning, and this woman was on the phone, going through her wallet to look for some money/change for a bill for this man. Then she was like no, I don't have any, but I'll go inside and get change, and he went in with her.
Lady, don't open your wallet AND be on the phone at the same time, as someone is asking you for money. No, no, no.

That's why I don't order from them ever. I need more instant gratification than they can or will deliver.
It's a good thing I'm in the process of trying to loose weight, maybe I'll fit into them better when they get here, LOLLLLL

@@sort of baby related, but more a rant about my incompetent company
I was supposed to start FMLA today, but will not be. I tried to call my company yesterday to stop the leave process. Was told to send email, which I did right away. This morning I start getting emails that my people are being transferred by IT from me to my manager. Great, means they didn't stop it in time. Followed by my work email on my phone asking for my password (but still got a couple of emails). Get home, try to remote in, locked. Call IT helpdesk, yep, my status is on leave. Now I have to get my manager, who never responds to anything and is annoyed by this whole process, to log in to a super annoying program and figure out how to reactivate me. Then I have to wait 24 FREAKING HOURS for it to update. Hopefully my email will be waiting for me when I get back on, because yesterday when I told my manager I was cancelling my leave due to no baby, but I was still taking vacation to mentally recover, he responded with "Sorry, please be sure to stay on top of xxx major issue while you're out this week." Cue RAGE. And if I wasn't sure if I could handle work, I just started crying at daycare when dropping off DS and couldn't answer the question of how it went this weekend. Yeah, not going to be dealing with your BS this week manager. The plant will run without this issue for another 4 months, it can wait and you could try not being an ass. /rant

lol, this is so weird.
I just internally SMH the whole time, like what in the world.
However, I'm the same person, who keeps her purse in the backseat on the floor behind the drivers side, especially with the windows down. This lesson, courtesy of growing up in a city with a lot of carjackings.
Remember how I mentioned getting bitten by a tick on Sunday? I have a huge red welt surrounding it now. Discussed it with a coworker and got started on Lyme prophylaxis. So many other people have got it around that area that I didn't want to take the chance.
I used to lurk/post here and, I think, ML somewhat regularly, and just decided to check back in. Randoms seemed like as good a place as any to say Hello again. ::waves::
Since I'm off this week anyway, I might as well be productive (other than a massage, mani, pedi (and hopefully a PCE friendly one)).
Where would you recommend going to get my vision tested? Just look up any optometrist? Is walmart good enough (yay small town)? I feel like it's going. I'm not 100% sure, but when I went for my last physical, I had real trouble with the 20/20 line and reading on a screen/paper has become slower. I don't know if it's really fuzzy, but I feel like it's not as good as it was. But I was once 20/10 so I had room to degrade.

I've always had pretty good luck with Wal-Mart / Target optometrists (yaaaay small towns) and I have significantly impaired vision, so yeah, that should be fine for you.

Yes, I would just look one up. Walmart/Sam's should be fine though, for just a simple vision test.
If you feel you need more than what an optometrist can do, look and see if there are any ophthalmologist in your area.

That's just it, I don't know what constitutes needing more. I kind of worry that since I think I just need some "fine tuning" that the walmart doc might not work. But I've only gone once in my life, when I got migraines in high school from teaching in a computer lab all summer. I ended up with some glasses, but don't know that they helped. It was so hard deciding between "is this better or this one" slide show when thy were all so close.

I had an argument with my mom last night and realized I was being an ungrateful brat. It's still annoying when she substitutes her own reality for actual reality, but I need to be more sympathetic to her.
She thought we were all going to drive to Disney in one car. I had told her that we couldn't fit everything, but she just refused to hear me when I said it a few weeks ago.
Upon further reflection, they are paying for the bulk of the trip so the least we can do is not make them drive. We both apologized, which is new for us. (We usually just pretend the conflict never happened.)

Does your insurance cover eye exams? If so, I'd just go to the ophthalmologist for now, and then any subsequent visits, go to the optometrist, if you don't need anything complicated.
ETA: Now, if you want to do this while you're off this week, you're likely to have better luck just getting an appointment with the optometrist.

Nope, we dropped vision coverage after DH got lasik. Might have to add it again now that I'm getting old - WAH!

Do you have an FSA? If no, I vote optometrist. If yes, I'd go for the ophthalmologist.

I had a dream last night that I narrowly avoided being electrocuted. My hair straightener was plugged in, but the cord was draped across the sink. And the water was running. I cautiously turned off the water and then unplugged the straightener. I felt a little jolt but was otherwise was fine.
The online dream dictionaries say electrocution is a bad sign in dreams, but what about narrowly avoiding it? Seems like a net positive, no?
Apartment/moving rant - Last week the complex told us our unit/floor would be ready Monday (yesterday) at the earliest, but this week. So we went to Ikea and got furniture to be delivered for Friday, because I am so tired of only having a bed, tv and a computer. I want to SIT damn it! Well now they are saying next week - sigh. I knew we shouldn't have gone to Ikea yet. Hopefully it turns out to be (this coming up) Monday, like they said yesterday.
DH got another call for an interview at another school for Monday. He also just finished final rounds at a different school, so we're hoping to hear something soon.
