We have closet doors in B's room that are the sliding...accordion style? I don't know what you call those, very common closet door. Bi-fold doors, I guess.
He cannot resist the urge to play with them, and has pinched his fingers at least three times in three days. We're working on "no", but I think we all know how immediately effective that is with toddlers.
Any tips to make these harder to open? Available gadgets?
Also, our new stove stove has burner/gas knobs right on the front. I got some Safety 1st covers, but they just spin around loosely, making them really appealing things to play with, and if he pulls hard enough on them, he can just pull the whole knob off the front of the stove. Any great products? Amazon doesn't have much. I might venture to Buy Buy Baby this weekend...
eta: diapers.com has a good childproof selection. The prices are somewhat reasonable. Depending on how much you need, it's free 2 day shipping at $49. I find that a lot of their products are cheaper than buybuybaby and other stores. Everything goes in cycles so I always do a quick search. They are on ebates too
No advice on the doors, but we have the same type of stove knobs. They stay off when we are not cooking (after I walked in our kitchen one day and found the oven and 2 burners on!!)
We did the spinning knob covers, but yeah, removing them is just as effective and doesn't leave swirl marks in the stainless steel behind the knobs once the covers come off. For the doors, what about a large rubber band to hold then handles together when not in use?
