2 weeks? I just cooked 4.5lbs of chicken tenderloins and we've had them as chicken pasta salad, dipped in bbq sauce, and on the side of dhs lunches. So two dinners for all of us and 3 more lunches? 2 adults, 2 children (1 & 3)
I should also add that I rarely use meat other than chicken. Beef shows up maybe once a week, maybe. Fish I would like more often, but it's spendy. So it's either chicken or pork or meatless.
We don't eat a ton of chicken. Mostly veggies and fish and occasionally Turkey and pork. I saw a bag of frozen chicken breasts at Costco and I'm debating how long it would last. It comes out to $1.99/lb and I never find chicken for that low.
Is frozen chicken good? Or would I be wasting my money?
2-3 weeks, maybe? My kids and I love chicken but my H really doesn't care for it more than once a week or so. Sometimes I will grill a bunch at the beginning of the week and then the kids and I will have it cold for lunches.
I buy chicken like that at Costco all the time. It's fine. It usually lasts 4-6 weeks I would guess. We eat chicken 1-2 times a week. DD doesn't eat meat so it's only 3 of us eating it.
Seriously though. I use frozen chicken breasts for crock pot recipes a lot.
Same here. I exclusively use the frozen breasts for slow cooker cacciatore, fajitas, tacos, pesto and Alfredo. I don't ever thaw them. Just drop them in frozen and they come out perfect every time. So easy.
Haha def let them defrost. I think you can cook from frozen but most people defrost first. Best if you do it overnight in fridge but sometimes I take it out in the morning and put it in the counter for a few hours then fridge until I cook it that evening.

I wasn't sure because so many frozen things say to keep frozen until ready for cooking. Lol I'm also very new to actual cooking. I normally just re heat food DH has cooked.

But I'm having fun in the kitchen!
I get it! I found it funny but in a not in mean way
