We are at the vet. $240 for the visit and tests. Now I hope it is a UTI because the doc is making it sound like behavioural is going to be way worse to figure out.
Daycare had room today so I sent DD. I've already gotten our shed permit at city hall, went grocery shopping, and now I'm waiting in the parking lot for Kohl's to open. My friend is picking me up in an hour and we're driving to have lunch with our other friend who just built a house about an hour away. Should be a fun time with lots of laughter!
I just scrubbed my floors to perfection. My laminate has no streaks. I'm way proud of this feat than I should be.
I'm now sitting hiding in the office while the kids eat breakfast because if DD sees me she just demands one more thing instead of eating (Don't worry. I can still see them fine. She can't see me.)
DS fell hard on the cement last night while running. Like sommersaulted practically. He didn't cry that long and seemed fine but he woke up with giant road rash and a pretty swelled black eye. He looks....rough. Poor kid.
I need to figure out what we're having for DDs birthday lunch this weekend. DD keeps asking for tacos but H hates them. I might do it anyways. Or just grill hamburgers and call it a day.
While writing the check for drop in care this morning I had to look up how to spell "forty". In my mind I was thinking, "Fourty or forty?". I went with forty. I hope that's okay because not only am I a first grade teacher but I taught the daughter of my daycare provider!
My morning has gone well so far. Drop off was fantastic this morning - we were walking down the hall to his room and one of his little friends saw DS, and then smashed his face against the little window in the door to watch us walk down the hall. We go in the room, and friend is jumping up and down and waving his arms and then DS joins him and does the same thing. Then they run over together to play with the trains. It was SO adorable, and such a nice change from hugging my leg and crying. This is his second week in a new room with completely different kids and teachers (thanks to him not turning two until next week).
Then I swung by Dunkin Donuts and there are TONS of boxes of donuts sitting out on the tables. An older man comes over to the folks in line and says you can take a box of donuts for free, long story but an order was messed up. So the woman in front of me opens a box and says, Well I wanted frosted. Man - there is no choice here. It's free donuts. You can take it or leave it. Woman then puts the box on the table and tries to explain to him that she really wants frosted donuts. I was DYING laughing, How ridiculous.
And now I am home - working from home all day while I have a bunch of house related stuff going on. WIndow treatments getting installed, chair rail and crown molding being installed in the nursery, and delivery of the nursery glider and ottoman. Woohoo!!!

How awful, pinotgrig! Those poor families. I hope they can catch whoever is behind it all quickly.
B has been so damn cranky the last couple of days, and he slept for shit last night. He'd gone three days in a row of going 3-4 hours between overnight feedings, but last night only went 2-2 1/2 hours. Which meant he was screaming an hour after I put him down. He's also cried nonstop this morning, despite having a full belly, a dry diaper and being swaddled. I *may* have threatened to make him live outside with the bunnies if he didn't stop. Argh!
DD is 3 today, but she also has a summer cold and it's rainy and in the 60s out, crazy for KS in July! I need to shower and then I think I'm going to take her to the aquarium. My family is coming over tonight for our Daniel Tiger party. DD loves her dollhouse! I am excited to play with it too
Spent the morning letting J watch cartoons, since we had to stick around the apt. The new building owner came and took measurements of our apartment so they can renovate it when we move out. Blah.
Taking J to the park as soon as this load of laundry finishes.
Ahh, N went to bed the easiest AND earliest that I can remember in a long time. 8:45-8:15! It's usually like 9:45-6:45.
I also found a Jeep power wheels on a local b/s/t group that was $20 since it didn't have a battery. We had a battery in the garage, so it was a great deal, and N loves his new Jeep (DH is Jeep obsessed and apparently the obsession is easily transferred).
But man, she is going through SO MANY k-cups. Granted I told her she can consume anything in our home, and even text her over the weekend to ask what kind of deli meat she wants for the week... Come on. I swear she's downing 5+ a day. It's not the expense - it's having to constantly refill our little storage box, and shop for the darn things. And not having what I like on-hand some mornings.
Having a childcare provider in your own home is like dealing with husband annoyances.

Forty vs fourty and ninty vs ninety. I CAN NEVER REMEMBER!
I got a paper cut from a plastic sushi container on my right (dominant) index finger the other day - still hurts like a mofo.
Dh left out of town last night and will be gone for a week missing DD's birthday party and our anniversary. It's a big deal he was asked to go on this trip and I'm trying to be understanding, but it still kind of sucks. DD doesn't even care since the party is about being with her friends and we already celebrated as a family.
I need to whip my house into shape before the house cleaner comes on Thursday. Why is this always so stressful? She only comes every 4 weeks, I wonder if she came every 2 weeks if it would be more or less stressful?
Do cordless/wireless lamps exist? I can find...one. lol. I really want a lamp for the end table in our living room, but the table is in the middle of the room basically so I don't want a cord running across half the room.
Aren't those solar lamps? I am imagining those solar outdoor lamps you use to line walks on your table. Pretty sure not what you are going for
Thanks for inspiring me to go workout at lunch today @marshmallows- I too feel like I have a tapeworm but slept through my workout this morning so need to justify my eating today. I actually have time today so no excuse.
I'm sitting at the Subaru dealership right now, getting my oil changed. I had them check out a few noises, since I'm 3k miles from my warranty expiring.
Turns out, they have to replace the transmission on my 2014 Subaru! Thank God its still under warranty.

Holy crap @roseyposey - What even happened? That is not normal.
ALSO - VICTORY IS MINE! Car tether anchors installed. Except the uninstalled my car seat, which I find unnecessary because well they could have just reached a bit. Not looking forward to re-install in nearly 100 degrees 36 weeks pregnant. Yay! @fivedogs

I have no idea!! Definitely not normal. And apparently my A/C compressor is failing too. Thank goodness they're fixing it all!

That is so nuts. Honestly I would probably contact corporate offices or someone to let them know. It doesn't make sense. Maybe you got some weird lemon car.
Yeah, that's what I need but aside from a few miniature ones, I've found literally one lamp. I feel like more have to exist?!
Are you open to having a floor outlet installed? That would greatly expand your options. We had one put on for (I think) around $150-200 at our old house.
