What Disney character meals do you love?
We booked out trip less than 6 months out so getting reservations has been a little tricky. Here's what I have booked so far. We have the dining plan so the goal is 5 character meals to use up our table service credits. Right now we're overbooked & I will drop the ones we don't need as our trip gets closer.
Chef Mickey's - (Donald Duck, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Pluto) Lunch x2
Tusker House - (Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, Goofy and Mickey Mouse) Lunch
Crystal Palace - (Eeyore, Piglet, Tigger and Winnie the Pooh) Brunch
Cape May Cafe - (Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, Goofy and Mickey Mouse) Breakfast & Dinner
1900 Park Fare - (Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Tigger and Winnie the Pooh) Breakfast x2
I'm still trying for Hollywood & Vine (Disney Jr. characters), 1900 Park Fare (dinner w/Cinderella characters) or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (various princesses).
If you've been to any of these I would love your feedback. If there are any others that you recommend I don't have listed please let me know & I'll add them to my list.

bcarp30 - thanks! I don't think we need to keep 1900 Park Fare for breakfast since we have Crystal Palace. M has no idea who the Alice in Wonderland characters are anyway, we would only be going to meet Pooh & Tigger.
We've done Chef Mickeys, Hollywood & Vine and the Park Faire breakfast. My boys enjoyed all three.
They liked Park Faire because Alice and Mary Poppins actually talked to them and they had really cool interactions. They really like Alice in Wonderland, and thought meeting the Mad Hatter was cool.
We liked the breakfast food better at H&V than at Park Faire--though that may be because DH was able to get ice cream and bread pudding with his breakfast
We're trying the Park Faire royal dinner when we go in September. I'm really interested in seeing the interactions with lady Tremane and the stepsisters. I've heard they're all great.
Chef Mickey's - (Donald Duck, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Pluto) Lunch x2
Okay I'm going to be honest here but I think CM's is GROSS. Seriously. I don't like the food and the atmosphere is very dining hall buffet with some characters thrown on top. It's OKAY because the kids love the characters and it will be convenient for you ( you are at the Contemporary right?) but it's not a fave. Garden Grill at Epcot is WAY better and has the classic characters.
Tusker House - (Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, Goofy and Mickey Mouse) Lunch
YUMMY. I loved the food here and we had awesome character interactions. It can get LOUD though.
Crystal Palace - (Eeyore, Piglet, Tigger and Winnie the Pooh) Brunch
Breakfast food here is great. The place is gorgeous and the characters are unique. WIN.
Cape May Cafe - (Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, Goofy and Mickey Mouse) Breakfast & Dinner
Never done it on the bucket list. Make sure you aren't traveling out og your way for it.
1900 Park Fare - (Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Tigger and Winnie the Pooh) Breakfast x2
Never done it. I have heard good things about the food, but if your DS might be afraid of FACE characters it's not a great meal since you already have the Pooh Characters at CP and you don't have to miss park time/ travel for that meal.

@savestheday - yes we're staying at the Contemporary so I thought Chef Mickey's would be convenient, especially since we'll try for a nap/rest time right after lunch.
If you will have a car or will be at AK for the day Saana at AKL is a great restaurant. Get an early reservation ( before sunset) and ask for a window table. The animals on the savannah are RIGHT THERE. Kids love it, but the atmosphere is a little less adult but still fairly casual. Super unique experience.
If you don't have a car but are at AK for the day take the bus from AK to AKL. Get off at Kidani. Eat, and then take the bus back to MK and walk back to Contemporary. The best part of Contemporary is you can easily us MK bus stop as a transfer from other hotels if needed.

We were at BLT and had dinner there. We are not having dinner there again this trip to BLT. YMMV and it is a CUH-LASS-IC ( you will get the reference after watching the in room TV channel a million times) but it's not a repeat or MUST DO for me.

@savestheday - thanks for the info about the Animal Kingdom Lodge, that sounds really cool to see. We won't have a car but M loves riding the bus. I'll put it on my list

We did lunch at Tusker House, food was good and we had great character interaction. Lunch at Crystal Palace was also a success. Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine was our least favorite. It was very rushed and the food was just standard breakfast fare(from our adult perspective),DS loved it of course, which is all that really matters.

Glad to hear you liked Tusker House & Crystal Palace! M is just starting to get into the Disney Jr. characters so I think he would love meeting them, even if the food isn't fab.
I saw you're doing cape may for breakfast and dinner. Dinner isn't a character meal.
We did cape may for breakfast and it was great.
We've also done tusker house for dinner and we loved it. We had great character interaction.
Chef mickeys we did for breakfast and it was my daughter's favorite. The food wasn't bad. But I think the breakfast menu sounds better than the lunch menu.
Akershus was good for breakfast as well.
Thank you! I will cancel dinner, sometimes I get so excited to find an open reservation that I forget to double check that the characters will actually be there.
Glad to hear you liked the ones we have booked. I'm trying for Chef Mickey's for breakfast but so far haven't had any luck, I'm going to keep checking.
On our last Disney trip we did Hollywood and Vine, Ohana, Cinderella's Table, Akershus, Tusker House, and Crystal Palace.
Breakfast reviews: Ohana and Tusker House had the best food by far. Crystal Palace was our least favorite. The food wasn't great and it took forever for all the characters to make it to us. In fact, we missed Piglet completely because it took an hour and a half just for the other three. Hollywood and Vine was fun. It wins for atmosphere. Food was better than I was expecting.
Dinner reviews: Akershus was great. The interaction with the princesses was outstanding. DD had just turned four and was absolutely starstruck. Ordering her a meal was kind of a waste since she was too excited to eat, but it was fun. She has requested this one again, too. CRT was okay. It's expensive but something everyone should do atleast once. Food is okay, princess interaction is great.
We are going this December and are going to repeat Tusker House, Ohana, Hollywood and Vine, and Akershus. We are trying 1900 Park Fare and Chef Mickey's this time as well (breakfast for CM and dinner for 1900 PF).

Since you are staying at CR, I would drop both Cape Mays.
H&V was great, and I am glad we went because the day after DS turned 4 he told me he no longer liked Jake. Jake used to be his FAVORITE. We also really like Tusker House. Crystal Palace was good food but none of the group really like Winnie the Pooh so we will skip it next trip.

I was just going to post about how are you planning on getting to cape may? It's kind of a pain to get to.
Umm...I hadn't really thought about the logistics yet.
I have two time's booked for Cape May breakfast 8:05am & 10am.
