Within the past 9 months we got a new Samsung top loader w/o an agitator and it's been great. I did a heavy duty load with a pre-soak and extra rinse for our cloth diapers and never had any issues.
But we are big fans of Samsung in general. We have a Samsung fridge, tv, phones and washer and dryers.
I cannot begin to explain how much DH loves the new hotness. Our energy bills have lowered because the washer is so efficient at getting water out of the wet clothes that the dryer then does not have to run for so long to dry the clothes. It can handle a VERY full load of towels, so he only has to do laundry like 3x a week, for all 3 of us, and he is a marathoner so his stinky running clothes MUST be cleaned with the quickness.
Our washer made some awful grinding noise and we saw water leaking from somewhere. It's ancient (at least 15 years old) and came with the house, so we're going to replace the set. I need to order today since I've dragged my feet "researching" online and now I can't make up my mind. I saw that this LG is highly rated by Consumer Reports but the matching dryer is not. Does anyone have any experiences with these? Care to recommend your own set? TIA!
I have an LG (not that one) and we really like it. The dryer you linked has a 4.9 rating from 167 reviews, so I wouldn't be too concerned about the consumer reports.
We have the washer and dryer you linked. I have only had them a couple months so can't promise greatness lol but so far so good! The washer holds SO MUCH. Our previous set was a front loader but this holds twice as much if not more. I put in all my DDs stuff once which previously would have been a full load and had to go get all my son's laundry to fill it 3/4 full. The clothes come out practically dry so drying time is one normal cycle of 41 minutes and it's done. Even a load of fifteen towels. It's crazy.
FYI:We looked at the new Samsung washer with the "built in sink-top scrubber". It was a no for MrBAMF. It seemed gimmicky to him.
DH said the same thing, boo.
Don't they sell the ones without it? I bought a Samsung washer in April that didn't have that and it is amazing. I love my top loading Samsung washer and dryer.
We bought a Samsung set for our TH about 7 years ago and I still miss it 3 years later. It was awesome. Had a steam cycle, which was fantastic for getting wrinkles out.
We have a Kenmore set now. It's not bad either. I just loved my Samsung!
FYI, we just had to buy a new set yesterday- and ordered the samsung set BAMF listed above. On sears website they are bundled for 1180 once you add to cart- and we got best buy to price match, with free delivery and haul away. The reviews looked great, we get ours Saturday
