I think it depends on the kid? We never used the swing as a nap spot...as he would only stay asleep for about 20 mins in it, so we had both in the living room, and dragged it around the house as well) He also slept in it at night until about two weeks ago (he's 7.5 months )
DS slept in the RNP - my H carried it up and down the stairs depending on where I was camped out. DS found the swing too entertaining to nap in it and he hated sleeping flat for a while.
I'd see what the baby is into and then get one if you need it.
We never had one, but sometimes I wish I did. J slept in the bouncy seat until 3 months, the swing until 6 months. He probably would have been safer in a RnP. You might want something else downstairs since a swing is not very portable.
It was the best thing ever for DD. She slept in it for the first 6 weeks. She wasn't into the bouncer or swing, so this was a good place for me to put her for showers and stuff. She could sleep in her PnP flat on her back, but it was a change of scenery. And so easy to move around.
This board had me a little paranoid that using one would lead to plagiocephaly, but I've been using it this time anyways. No issues so far (though we are careful to mix up how he sleeps), and great for travel.

I loved ours because L was a spitter and he would gag at nighttime. The RNP helped some with that. I would also drag ours out to the living room during the day. I am going to be a little more careful about it this time because we did have a slight flat spot/torticollis that we had to work to get rid of.

Totally depends on the kid. I didn't want one and ended up with a kid who won't lie flat at all. So we bought one when she was three weeks. She won't sleep in it, and I think a swing would do the same job.
I forgot about the travel thing! It is so convenient for that. I brought it with me instead of a PNP when I visited a friend (DS was 4 months). She loved it so much that she had her MIL go out and get her one for her newborn.
It sounds like you enough containment devices. A main selling point for the RNP is it's versatility, ie you can use it in place of a basinet, easily move around your house, etc. It saves you from having to buy multiple things, but you already have multiple things.

We had the flat RNP bassinet when she slept in our room the first few months. I didn't want to have to transition from an inclined sleeping space to the crib and she didn't have reflux issues. It's one of those "wait-and-see" purchases, IMO.
Mom of 3 with 2 reflux kids- I don't have one and didn't miss it. I do highly recommend and love the FP toddler rocker. You can use it for much longer and serves many of the same purposes for less money.

I never used ours. We tried it a few times, but he hated it. He largely napped in his swing, and we had a bouncy seat that he preferred as a back-up containment device.
I'm pregnant with #3 right now too and we are going to hold off for now and see what kind of sleeper this one is. If she tolerates being flat on her back then I'm hoping the crib and bassinet in out room will be enough. We are going to have a twin bed in the nursery, so I'm actually hoping we can get her into the crib ASAP and DH and I can trade off sleeping in the nursery as needed.
