We saw Inside Out today. So cute and funny! Go see it if you haven't already! I think whoever wrote the script must be unusually perceptive and clever, it is seriously so good. Of course half of it had me crying like a baby, afraid to breathe out loud in case I staeted sniffling and alarmed the kids, lol. But it was def worth it.
Took Boop to the vet for her annual visit and they wanted to run labs on her lady lumps (big lump on her leg, little ones on her tum). Results were inconclusive so they are sending them out. I hope they are nothing. While we were there they brought a little pug puppy over for me to see and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE! It had a dark face and was long and lanky just like Chubbs was as a baby. It's ears were super soft. Made me miss my baby pug so much. He was the best.
We are supposed to have a birthday playdate at the park tomorrow but the weather forecast is sketchy as usual. So tired of this weather. Rained 50 of the last 69 days

I haven't seen it but I heard the guy who wrote it on Fresh Air. He said he drew a lot from his experience moving to Denmark as a kid- not knowing the language, being alone in his head a lot, etc.
We are meeting with builder 1 tomorrow to go over plans and numbers. I talked to our realtor today to confirm builder understands our budget. She tells me the plan we love is over budget, but we'll talk tomorrow. Wtf? Why were we even shown plans over budget? I'm so discouraged. Inventory in our school district is shit. And if we can't build we are looking at having to buy and remodel before moving in.
DH and I don't want to spend weekends working on our house. We did that and we're over it. I don't want to spend $350k+ on a house that needs new bathrooms and kitchen.
Just waiting to pass the kids off to DH so I can go to prenatal yoga.
I can't believe I'm 32 weeks already. If previous pregnancies are any indication I only have 5 weeks left. We haven't done much at all to prepare. I'm freaking a out a little bit between work and home stuff that needs to be done in the next month.

We have finally found a structural engineer that will look at our un-permitted addition. He's coming Monday. And one contractor gave us a quote and it's insane.
That quote plus legal and professional fees will take all of our non-retirement investments. I'm so pissed. Who builds an illegal, un-permitted addition?!? We are going to sue, but this is serious and we are talking a lot of money. I'm hoping we can show that they are trying to do this as a business and nail them for consumer fraud.
My kid looks the same but I just measured her and she is now officially overweight and not obese. Then I ran some numbers - added an inch - not overweight. Subtracted one pound - not overweight. Screw that. I'm not going to worry so much anymore. I was picturing my 400 lb 15 year old and felt so much guilt.
For the record she is 3 foot 6 and 3 and a half. She is the tallest in her dancing class and the youngest by over a year in some cases. She is also the roundest. Lol.
Before anyone tells me I am going to make my kid anorexic - I never talk about it. I restrict sweets no different than the average parent.
I am so incredibly happy I have a new job and boss that is zero drama. I got a nasty text from my former boss last night b/c she was mad I went out to lunch with my former CWer and she thinks I am trying to get her to leave. Spoiler alert: CWer already does want to leave b/c boss/office is crazy!
Dh will be home in 24hrs. Thank God. My patience with ds1 is reaching its limit. On the other hand, I've noticed ds2 basically requires no effort when ds1 is around for company. Keep him fed and changed and he's a happy camper as long as he can follow his brother around the house. This evening ds1 was (gently) bopping him on the head with a pillow and ds2 was losing his mind giggling. Couldn't even crawl away he was laughing so hard.
Oh dear Lord. I just discovered now, while getting ready for bed, that I've been wearing big black granny panties all day underneath white shorts. And I am fully certain they were plainly visible all around.
And of course we were ALL over town today and I saw lots of people I know. Kill me now.
This is what sahm-ing does to my brain after all of 4 days.
Two great big bucks just stuck their faces against my family room window. Scared that crap out of me! We live in suburbia, but the wildlife is crazy. I've also seen a coyote and red tailed hawks and more bunnies than ever.
Second night of C peeing while on the potty. Note that I didn't say IN the potty.
Welcome to potty training a boy - it can go everywhere! The phase 'point your penis down' is now ingrained in my vocabulary!
M has been potty trained for a while now, but last week he kept rushing to the bathroom, and then coming back soaking wet. I was perplexed, until I realized he was somehow peeing between the seat and the toilet right onto his pants.
I taught him to stand and it has gone much better.
