After DS woke us all up at midnight (including DD, oy), we actually slept really well. 12pm-6:45am. I told a drug cocktail for my cold symptoms which worked quite nicely. Delsym for the cough, Afrin for stuffy nose, ibuprofen for body aches, and inhaler for chest tightness. I actually got some sleep!
The drool rash I keep posting about...well, I'm pretty sure it's yeast. Ugh. I am going to text a picture to my pedi in a bit to see if I need an Rx. Then I'm calling my OB for an Rx for myself. Annoying! Looks like I will be spending some time sanitizing binkies, burp rags, and bibs today.
I haven't been able to post in a few weeks, first I went to visit both sets of grandparents for 2 weeks and when I got home we had no internet for days thanks to a big outage. Life without internet these days is tough!
During all of this time, DS got his 2nd tooth and has 2 more coming in. Plus he has majorly switched his sleep schedule and I am not a fan. Why must they switch things up when you have a good thing going?!
Also, DH's sister is flying in from the west coast for the weekend to meet DD2. She initially wanted to keep the trip on the DL so that our house did not become a revolving door all weekend for H's other siblings to visit. Then she told everyone. Now we are having a BBQ/pool party on Sunday. It will be fine, but ughhhhh my house will be more trashed than it already is. My goal is to keep everyone outside for as long as possible.
I need to clean bathrooms today. and grocery shop.
DDs cousins come for the weekend and she is so excited. It's also her birthday "party" Sunday. She's been up since 5:00 asking for them. She's now all dressed sitting on the couch. Waiting. Patiently. It's 545. She's going to be waiting patiently awhile.
We go nowhere until storytime at 10. Outside she goes. Soon. Or I might take them to the park beforehand. I don't want to give baths again before we leave.
Someone is selling a 25 year old Kirby for $300.00.
Someone else has $225.00 on a beat up old and heavy file cabinet. They took out of a factory office here.
And my old coworker is selling her 2 year old barely used PnP for $10.00. I'm actually going to snag that for my sister I think. (This is fine and awesome. It's just totally tricked out, and I know it was never used. It's worth more than that. Then again, Kirby girl will get $300.00 and my old coworker will be haggling for $5.00. I love people..ha).

My SIL just texted me that she won't be at DS's birthday party. It wouldn't be a huge deal, except that's one of the two times per year we actually see them (Christmas is the other). Did I mention she has 7 kids and we only live about 15 minutes from each other? She just has no interest in being a part of our lives, and it hurts. I feel bad for my kid because he has no siblings and may as well have no cousins.
I just unpacked from being at my moms for three weeks. Now I have to pack to go to my ILs. I should have just left my car packed for the week we were home.
Going to the mall to pick up my HA order and I get an email that clearance is $10 or less. Wonder if they will price match since all the stuff I bought is now "$10 clearance". Will ask Also, this is going to be even more dangerous now!
I am rocking some white shorts today and I feel pretty badass.
I have 6 house guests for the next week, including a 2-year-old who won't stop screaming and a 5-year-old who won't stop asking why. I'm exhausted after one day. It's going to be a long week.
I took some really cute pictures of DD when she had her helmet so I could submit them for the Doc Band Calendar. I totally forgot to send them and I missed the deadline. I'm so annoyed with myself.
We have an exersaucer for P and she likes to play with the stuff on it but mostly stands there. I went to pick her up from Daycare yesterday and she was going NUTS in their jumparoo. I think it's more suspended or something, but she loves it. Now I'm looking for a used jumparoo for her to play in.
I have a gyn appt this morning to check on my iud since I've had lots of cramping and bleeding. I'm halfway hoping she'll tell me it's fallen out that I'm pg. lol
@justdairy my grandparents had a Kirby. Brings back memories. That thing weighed a ton.
Yall 2 is going to kill me. She is so defiant and her language is huge so now she's talking back. I'm not handling the not listening well.
Headed home from vacation. Meeting with the builder this afternoon. DH and I are so upset about the pricing that I don't know what to do. Half of me says scrap the whole moving idea.

G looooved his jumperoo so much. We have some hilarious videos of him squealing and laughing in it.

The same thing happened for us. DS didn't bounce much in our new exersaucer. I think the springs weren't stretched out enough?
He loved the very used one at daycare because it bounced SO much more. I'm hoping DS broke ours in enough that baby #2 enjoys it!

I cut all my hair off yesterday. Eight inches. I was inspired by the pixie cut thread here a few days ago.
My MIL is insane. Last night she proposed that she babysit Isaac so he doesn't have to go to day care. She lives in Atlanta. I am in Chicago. She figured she'd fly up for three days every week. OMG. I told her no way, but this will not be the end of it...(pdq)
Just dropped DS off. Kid free 60-ish hours starts now! (Yes, there were some tears in my part, lol)
Now on to the 7ish hour drive. Watch out, Maryland. We're coming for you!
Welcome! Whereabouts in MD are you going to be?
We're staying at a hotel in Towson. It's supposed to be attached to a nice shopping center. I've never been to a J&J, but will be checking it out while DH attends to his groomsmen duties
