There are just some things that just doesn't need to be put on FB. This one vet clinic is doing a "more gore Monday". They put a picture of a horse that ran into a pipe and the poor things face is all smashed up, and then a picture of it with all the stitches. Seeing it makes me sick to my stomach. I get that some would find it fascinating how they were able to fix this horse, but the image was very graphic. What have you seen on Facebook that you think crossed a line?

I hate, hate, hate hospital kid pics. I'm not talking about kids who have some serious illness like cancer and they use fb to update the family on how their child is. The ones where a kid has a sudden serious injury or illness and they're taking pictures in the ambulance of the kid. Just no.

With no explanation!
I can't even wrap my brain around that being something you even think to do in the middle of an emergency. The one time we had to go to the hospital in an ambulance the paramedics had to remind me I wasn't wearing shoes. I certainly wasn't in the right frame of mind to think let's take a picture!

Or worse with a "sad day " or "not how we planned to spend our night!" Way to pimp out your kid for attention.
Over the winter DD spent a few days in the hospital and I texted a couple of pics to my mom and sisters. My mom's response was "why haven't you posted pics on Facebook?" :/

I had a similar story. A friend from college I hadn't seen in forever came by for dinner and noticed me giving dd her seizure meds. I mentioned dd has epilepsy/autism and she responded that she didn't notice when I mentioned it on fb. I was like WTF why would I share that on FB? I hate, hate when people pimp kids for attention.

I think there is a line between primping your kid for attention and just sharing your life. I posted hospital pics of dd on fb. She was riding a car before her surgery, it was cute. I also posted about when she initially lost her hearing and an update when she failed the f/u hearing test. I don't think talking about a dx is AWing or pimping, esp a serious one like epilepsy.
But I hate gore/blood so emergency pics and bloody ones are a no go for me. And it is a little different because people need to know dd is hoh to be able to communicate with her. But I don't judge just talking about kids.

You mean it's not a diary?!? How did she expect that post to even go, "just an FYI for all those so interested in my life but not actually close enough to call one another...."

I do think it's totally fine if that's how you want to share. I have put pictures up when DS2 looked super cute after a surgery or was doing something "fun" in the hospital. I have chosen not to go into a full diagnosis on FB and rarely mention anything specific going on but he's been sick since birth, so nothing shocking. It's typically people that put up a pic with nothing or vaguebook for sympathy. I think it's weird KC's friend assumed everyone put it there.
