huh? half of those are not allergies and completely devalue people with true allergies. It's not springs - she would just tell them verbally and then when they forgot she could ding the tip. She won't put demands in writing since IT is THE SERVER'S job to WRITE things down.

LOL!
I think we're all "allergic" to reheated, microwaved restaurant food.

I don't trust someone that turns down excessive cheese.
There are 8 or so major allergens (Dairy, Soy, Wheat, Peanuts, Trea Nuts, Eggs, shellfish (I can't remember the rest). Strawberries can be a huge allergen too (but most other fruit isn't)

And I love the "in the US only" caveat to the beef. Mad cow disease may be a real thing, but you're just nuts. Unless "nuts" was on the list, in which case, voila.
there are people in my family allergic to strawberries, bananas and apples, so I can understand that, but I have never heard of an "undercooked beef" allergy.

Eh. I'm okay with people conflating "allergy" with food sensitivity in a restaurant context. DH and the baby don't have anaphylactic reactions to citrus but they do have a sensitivity. (DH has outgrown it, but had it as a kid). Even a a few drops of lemon juice in a sauce or dressing will cause the wee one to throw up - which is a shame since citrus fruits are also her favorites.
Most of that stuff aren't food sensitivities or allergies, just crazy talk.
I considered making a card like this when I was eating to avoid my tested food allergies. But it would have been just obnoxiously long, and I was afraid of getting my food spit on. The fruit list alone was grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon, pineapple, banana, and strawberry.

Before I had a child with food allergies I probably would have smirked at this, but now I get it. People who conflate sensitivities with allergies are part of the reason otherwise intelligent folks think that giving peanuts to a nut-allergic child will just give his a rash and sniffles for a few hours rather than sending him to the ER because his throat closes up.
I'm definitely allergic to both pineapple and kiwi, though not in an anaphylactic way. I never realized until I was 30 and had my allergy test that not everyone's mouth burns when they eat it.

I have an oral allergy to certain fresh fruits. Cherries, pineapple, kiwi, pomegranates, oranges, and a few others. I get sores, swelling, and burning. It is rather unpleasant, but non life threatening. The weird thing is that I can eat cooked fruit like a cherry pie without symptoms. My allergist said it had something to do with certain pollens.
I have a life threatening allergy to certain shellfish. I carry an epi pen in my purse and do not eat at seafood restaurants. I can't mess around with that one which is why I hate people claiming they have an allergy when they don't. I ended up in the ER last year from some cross contamination. The epi pen did not help enough and I had to have an IV of steroids. My eyes swelled shut for a couple of days. It was awful. Normally it is not hidden in a way milk, soy, or tree nut oils might be, so I'm lucky in that regard.

Haha--you can not trust me! I don't eat cheese, sour cream or ranch dressing:)
I just politely order a dish without cheese or ask for no cheese on a dish.
DH is a crazy picky eater. He swears beef not well done upsets his stomach, but I don't believe him.
I would cry if I couldn't eat oranges. I love them so much.
