I have a long drive ahead of me today and want to download an audiobook. I was thinking of something like Freakonomics, since those type of books work better while driving. I tend to have to keep going back and re listening when my mind wanders if it's a book with a plot to follow.
Any suggestions for similar books? Super Freakonomics, Think Like a Freak, When to Rob a Bank are possibilities. So are David and Goliath and The Tipping Point by Malcom Gladwell. Any other suggestions?
I haven't heard the audiobooks, but I liked the Tipping Point, and I also liked How We Decide. I can't member who wrote the second one, but he's written a bunch of other similar books that are good. Do you already listen to RadioLab? You might like those podcasts (just avoid the music based ones if you are looking for science. I love Jad Abumrad, but hate his taste in music, lol).
Agree with the podcasts. Also, Superfreakonomics, The Tipping Point or Outliers. What the Dog Saw was a decent compilation and I listened to the audiobook, but some of the chapters were great and a few were just okay, so I probably would have skipped a few except that I hate to skip things.
I love listening to podcasts of the Intelligence Squared US debates. They are an hour each and involved enough to keep me occupied but not so long I lose the thread of what's going on.
