Our DS2 arrived this afternoon a few minutes before 2pm! We started my induction at 40w+4 with just breaking the water and that did the trick. He was 10lbs 3oz! He took about 4 sets of pushes (OB had me push 3x per contraction). He got stuck for a moment at the shoulders and a bunch of people were called in to turn me and bring my knees together which got him free but fractured his collarbone. NICU was called so it was a scary minute but dr says there's nothing to be done, he has great range of motion and the fracture should heal up in 3 weeks.
Thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragement. And especially for being there when I had my previous losses.
Baby's name is Re.id Dav.id after his paternal grandfather.
Same thing happened with DS who was 9lb 15oz. Stuck for a minute, I flipped over & they literally popped him out. It appeared his clavicle wasn't broken but later we found out it was. No big deal, heals quickly on its own and you don't really have to do anything special.
I commiserate with the scariness of those few minutes, though!
