I feel the same way. I usually purposefully wear my glasses so I have to take them off and can't see myself as well. I feel ugly most of the time though, getting my hair done just amplifies it.
LOL I'm soooo glad it's not just me! I always feel like I look 10 years older and 50lbs heavier.
the place where I go is a beautiful salon but their mirrors are these huge beasts with a thick wood frame that sits on the floor. They lean them up against the wall rather than hang them. So your image is not straight on, but a view tilted upward. Kind of like if someone kneeled down in front of you to take a picture. It's awful. It instantly gives me double chin.

Agreed. I think it is impossible to feel pretty while you're getting your hair done. Usually I wax my brows at the same time and they always do the brows first...so I am red from the waxing, in addition to the hair drama.

Nope. I walk out of the house feeling like I've put myself together well, but when I get to the salon, I look horrendous. Horrible lighting and having to stare at myself makes for lowered self esteem.
