I'm currently baking. On the agenda for this afternoon is blueberry muffins, pumpkin muffins, (haven't picked the 3rd kind) and molasses cookies for our trip!
I have the suitcases out, I'll start packing as soon as the laundry finishes and the 2nd batch of muffins goes into the oven. Busy, busy day!
I'm spending the day on the couch doing economics homework and decompressing from this week with Top Gear on in the background. I'm considering food, but that would involve getting up.
I just came back from a family cook to celebrate my BIL's mba graduation. Now I'm finishing up listening to my audiobook. It's called Luckiest Girl Alive and I really like it! My summer class ends tomorrow and I have one assignment left, so I'll try to get to it tonight
I'm in South Carolina with my sister, our parents have a house here. We have gone to the beach the last two days and it's been great! We're hanging out now and going to get ready to go out to dinner later.

Been a low-key, relaxing day so far. Tonight I'm going to Target and taking my mom with me, it will be her first outing since the surgery so that's exciting. We have to get her one of those motorized scooters since she can't walk haha.

I've got a random/scary story for you all. Sorry it's long, but the details all just came together. So yesterday my friend and I were driving from Jacksonville to Tampa (about a three hour drive). It was torrential downpours on and off the whole way. Traffic was stop and go. At one rain-free point, this car is next to us and the driver is staring me down (I was in the passenger seat). I couldn't figure out why and my friend even kind of chuckled cause we thought he was flirting or something.
About ten mins later, this old acquaintance I knew from work a couple years ago messaged me and was like "are you in Florida--I think I just saw you on 75?" He worked for my company and moved to Florida a couple years ago. We laughed (via fb message) at the randomness of it all and that was the end of it. I even wrapped up the convo by saying "don't be texting and driving," to which he replied "I'm stopped right now."
So maybe ten mins later, my friend and I literally miss being part of a pile up by the skin of our teeth. I was actually on the phone with my H at the time telling him about seeing this old acquaintance. Thankfully my friend was paying attention and had about three car lengths between us and the next car, but the four cars ahead of us weren't so lucky. I even took a pic of the pile up to show my H. We contemplated stopping, but just went around (which I now regret).
So I'm scrolling through FB a few mins ago and see this guy tagged in a post by his mom. He was part of a four car pile up last night and ended up in the hospital. Clearly the same one and we just didn't connect it at the time because we were so panicked about almost being a part of it. Thankfully, he was released and is just sore with no major injuries --but his car was totaled. Ugh, so scary.
suzv - I'm so jealous that your summer class is already over! I have three more weeks for two of mine, and four for the other two.
It was only a 4 week class and I only took one because I'm lazy. I can't imagine taking four classes and working at the same time! I get overwhelmed with just two classes.
My parents are on their way over. I got bored since H is OOT, so we'll take a walk and play with the dog. After that I will find a movie on demand to watch. I made some progress with my cleaning to-do list today.

wanderingenough wow, how scary! So glad you missed it and that he is going to be ok!
We're leaving my parents in a bit. Yesterday we visited my grandma and uncle, my sister and I got pedicures (my mom had a gift card she didn't want to use), and went to the Twins game. Then today we went to a park in Minneapolis for a bit, shopping, and out to dinner. Busy weekend! I'm looking forward to the next 2 days of doing pretty much nothing. Although we'll need to pack and finish planning our trip!
suzv We are going to Canada to see my whole extended family for a big family reunion that happens every summer on the lake. We will be in Ontario thanks for asking!
wanderingenough Oh my, that sounds SO scary. I'm so glad you guys missed that and that he's alright.
H surprised me with a date this afternoon. We went for lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant, went to a few wineries then to our favorite ice cream place. The rest of the day we have been lazy.
