God I loved School Ties, I had such a crush on Brendan Frasier. I'm old so all the John Hughes movies were my jam. I might have seen 10 things once but it wasn't memorable haha.

This cake making thing reminds me of the "vegetable pouches are not vegetables" post from maybe a year ago. I wish I could remember who said that.
If pureed vegetables are in a container, that container is considered a serving of vegetables.
If a bakery item is sitting on a plate in front of me, I don't care if the flour and baking powder were combined in my kitchen or in a huge factory, it's still a cake.
I love boxed brownies and boxed cake, but I make homemade icing for both. 9 times out of 10 if someone gives me a brownie made from scratch, I find myself disappointed and wishing for the fudgy goodness of the boxed kind.
Cookies, OTOH, should always be made from scratch. Boxed cookies and refrigerated cookie dough are the worst.
Don't get me wrong, I'll eat any sweet treat that is put in front of me, but I never WANT cake. I would choose an entire pan of brownies instead any day.
I am a baking snob. I have ruined myself. Eating bread from a store is disappointing and I'd rather just not eat bread if given the choice of no bread or store bought bread. Canned frosting is an abomination. It tastes fake. Boxed cake and brownie mixes are just... sad.

I agree with this ordering, but I still love cake. It's pie that gets the side-eye from me. And don't even get me started on cobbler. Why do people get so excited about it? Bleh.
Pudding from a box? Because I hate that shit too. But you can't tell me that homemade pudding isn't delicious. Butterscotch pudding, chocolate pudding, caramel pudding, vanilla bean pudding, maple pudding CAKE, coconut mango tapioca pudding, chocolate pudding pie, sticky toffee pudding, baked pumpkin and sour cream pudding.
Morning bread pudding with salted caramel.
Pudding is delicious. You sit on a throne of lies.

I guess it didn't put itself in the oven, but you just put it together. It's not your artistry!
Pouches still contain vegetables, so they're fine. I do not equate these things.
A cake made from scratch is a tasty wonderful thing, yet if I spend hours decorating a mix cake, I have still made it.
I make my own marshmallow fondant, but sometimes use canned frosting to stick it all together.
But if you're going to the trouble of making marshmallow fondant from scratch, is it really so difficult to whip up a buttercream? I cannot get on board with canned frosting at all. Even rainbow chip.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. The fruit is just a distraction. The biscuit part of the cobbler (when made right) is amazing.
then just eat a biscuit!
But it doesn't have a fruity syrup soaked bottom and cinnamon sugar crunch on top! I am going to mail all you cobbler haters a cobbler to prove you wrong!
I am not a fan of either biscuits or warm fruit, so there is nothing about this cobbler business that sounds appealing. I would rather just have some nice fresh fruit and a cookie.
The best cake is costco cake. No mixing or baking required!
I just wish I could get 1/4 sheet cake instead of 1/2. That sucker takes up most of my (fairly large) fridge and I definitely don't need to eat that much cake!

Pudding is gross. Barf. Just the sight of it jiggling around in a bowl makes me want to gag. And the texture. Ugh, ugh, ugh.
BUT I have made cake from scratch many times. I have made boxed cake many times. I don't think that cake from scratch is that much better. I will eat all the cake.
And you can also GTFO with pudding pies, cream pies, any kind of pie that isn't just fruit.

Cut it into slices and freeze. Cake for weeks. Not like I know anything about this.

With fruit? noooooo. I dont even like strawberry shortcake bc that fruit ruins my cake.
I should admit now when I eat cobbler I dont eat the actual fruit if I can help it. I pick around it for all the other good stuff.
And I'm that h is just going to eat some fresh fruit instead of cobbler.
Probably why I cant lose that last 10 pounds lolol. I LOVE DESSERT.
For the record, I would much prefer to just eat an entire pan of brownies instead of fresh fruit. I love brownies, cookies, cake, and cheesecake. I am SO not anti-dessert. I just feel like cobbler and pie with their fruit and their general absence of chocolate and frosting are not worthy of being called dessert. So much so that one might as well just not bother and have some grapes instead, because that is how much they suck.
