I'm nearly 4 months post c/s. My recovery has been amazing. Pain went away very early on. Now in the last few days, I have been having some minor pain in my lower abdomen again. Not sure if I irritated it whole on vacation or if it just happened in its own. Normal? How long did yours hurt, and did it ever go away and then come back months later?
Yes normal. I specially remember starting kind of hard core working out in the fall, in bootcamp type classes. So a good 8-9 months post c section. And there were times that I'd feel pulls and pains during and after in my lower abdomen that I can only guess was from my c/s. I'd say a good 1-1.5 years after my c/s, these pains/pulls were way decreased and not that noticeable anymore.
At 4 months, I'd definitely expect to still feel pains and stuff.
How was working out when you first got cleared? I'm hoping to be released this Tuesday and as much as I am excited to get back into barre classes etc I am nervous about pain and stretching feelings.
I'm also 4 months post-c/s and I still get twinges. Especially if I've been lifting anything, like 40-lb DS in and out of a shopping cart. Real pants also still bother my incision, I change into yoga pants as soon as I get home.
kellsbelles- I was released to run at 6w PP and did that day (3 mi walk/jog). I was frequently jogging/running with the jogging stroller from 6-12w (when C's sleep went really bad and then I haven't really run since, only occasionally). I didn't feel anything that was painful to the point of "wow, I guess my body's just not ready". I'm sure if you get cleared you will feel fine (and it will be great physically and mentally to get back to exercise and things you did pre-baby). Good luck!
I'm 3 years out from mine and I had those pains/puling sensations for probably a year. My incision is still numb in spots and it's still sore sometimes if I bump it. My DD likes to run up to me and slam her head into my stomach and it's hits exactly at my incision. That can be very uncomfortable at times, but on a day to day basis I don't feel anything anymore. I do remember feeling like those twinges were never going to go away.
